They're $3K. Unless you know the sales rep, who I happen to work with.

So it only cost me $1,400. Which is great for my sons because they wouldn't have been getting one for $3K.

And a new CRF110 is like $4,000 off the sales floor.

The cool thing about the electrics is the adjustability. The speed controller lets me adjust enough parameters to make the bike fun for both of my sons. One of which asked me to slow it down. The other is already jumping it.

These are probably the best beginner motorcycles on the market. But they are only about 3/4 the performance of a 110.

Oh yeah with your insider discount it makes sense, but otherwise gas is still the way to go with a motorcycle IMO, especially one for a beginner. The mini motos hold their value which I don't see being the case for most electric motos. My 2005 Honda CRF50 is nearly 20 years old and I could still get most of my money out of it.

And your 20 year old Honda still runs great, with just air filter cleans & oil changes!

Which is why there are 3 other Hondas in my garage, with more in the future.

2 of the Hondas in my garage are over 20 years old and still fun.

2002 XR250R
2003 CRF230F

Yes, that too! The Hondas are unkillable unless you do something really stupid!

I rode a 96 XR250 back when I was in my 20's... Fantastic bike, though a bit stubborn to start when cold, or tipped over or to hot...
My favorite Honda has to be the XR 400, the one I borrowed had electric start and was an amazing machine. Geared to do 80 in LA traffic it still hauled my butt all over the hills in Gorman. without issue. I owned a 1990CR 250 at the time and I tried to swap the guy, for some reason he wouldn't...

Your 96 is the same generation / model as mine. I wish mine had electric start. I definitely want the kickstarter, but electric start would be pretty cool.

I've got my carb / valves tuned well so that starting on mine is consistent and easy.

I ride my XR quite a bit. I'll be riding it for the next two weekends in the desert. Hare & Hound this Saturday, camping in Ocotillo next weekend.

I'm not your standard Lincoln or regular Miller kinda guy, I prefer this style

I am now doing overhead welding in Jr College, and quickly found out that an FR apron is not enough, lol.
I had a BIG spark drop between my shirt, and skin right down into the bellybutton last week. NO BUENO!
