If only I were better at CAD, I could see a way to one of these.

I’ll tell you about CAD. I watched Josh do STL Sundays and followed along. Was frustrating at first as I knew nothing about any common commands in CAD. So off to YouTube and learned Fusion 360. Amazing how it’s not really difficult with a quick demonstration

I’ve got a few things, I can grab more pics later but this is the biggest news. Bambu Lab A1 3d printer

Looks great, but FDM over resin? Curiosity as I’ve already have two and resin is the current rage.

I know nothing about cad, Twade984 keeps twisting my arm to learn fusion. I downloaded it on my computer so I’ll get there one day.
This thing was $487 out the door, tax shipping and 2 rolls of filament. Much more manageable than the $1500 x1carbon.
I don’t know much about resin printers but I’ve heard the fumes are toxic and can be a mess like jato mentioned. I’ll stick to pla and petg.

Listen to TWade about fusion, you’ll love it and so will your rig. The fumes are nasty, meaning an enclosure, the mess is a mess , and resin can be pricey. Only issue with PLA is that it will distort in a hot car. Yes it does![emoji51][emoji23][emoji41]
I’ve gotten to love my carbon PETG for most things now.

I did that with Free CAD. Getting somewhere, but...

I'd like to do Fusion 360 but can not find out how to get the free student option everyone uses.

I continue to GREATLY enjoy the FlySky Noble NB4, and I have NO plans to get rid of it...in fact, I have a few vehicle I'm currently building (mostly 1:24 & 1/28) that will be paired with the NB4...but, the Noble NB4 is no longer the "Best Bang for the Buck" winner where RC radios are concerned.

Enter the new 'winner' - the Rlaarlo CT-8A, an 8-channel computerized radio. Sure, it doesn't store as many models as most other radios (only has a 10-model memory), nor does it have the GUI of the Noble NB4...but, it has almost all the features/functions & programmability of much higher-end radios, as well as a few tricks of it's own. For starters, in addition to being powered by either 4x AA or 2S LiPo, it's can be powered by an 18650 Li-Ion cell. For steering smoothness, it adds bearings. Also, all receivers (1 included) have built-in gyro.

As for that "Best Bang for the Buck", how does $40 sound?

I was without adult supervision on my lunch break and the LHS is about 5 minutes from my current place of employment.

There’s nothing better looking than a square body.

Treal Ti Sprocket and Front Brake Disc on the Vitavon spoked rims.

Then a few more items.
MyLaps Hybrid Transponder for Promoto Racing.
Some Gmade Numbers that will fit the number plates on the bikes great.
And some cable clamps for when I modify the brake cable on the bikes.

Been wanting this since it was first announced. Unfortunately, I "missed out" on the first production run. The second production run will be shipping next month. At least I finally got mine "locked in" (and, for a MUCH lower price than what Associated is selling it directly).

Jealous! This would look really good sitting on the shelf beside my old 1988 RC10 that I restored.

I keep going back and forth on this one. I sort of want one as a display piece, but the previous re-res from AE were low quality. And the bait and switch pricing they pulled this time around is shady if not illegal. Just another botched release from AE.

On the other hand, I want to buy one, hold onto it for a few years and resell it to one of the suckers that overpays for the RC10 nostalgia.

If I was going to build it, I would certainly paint the body in translucent paints like this one.

I have a NIB rc10 re-re from many years back. At the time I bought it I was quite excited to build it. At this point It is in the back of the closet...hopefully appreciating in value. Hard to imagine I will build it, but who knows

First, that's (essentially) how I plan on painting mine. Initially, I was going to leave is clear. After all, other than the metal parts, ALL other pieces are clear Lexan, thus (as a display/"shelf queen") it made sense to leave everything clear...but, then, even before having seen that photo, I had the same idea. It might not be 100% clear, but translucent is pretty close...plus, have to admit, having seen that photo (when the original poster posted it), I knew that was the "right decision". Only difference between what he did, and what I'll be doing, is that I intend on doing a lighter coat of the orange - enough to know it's 'orange', but light enough to still leave it somewhat closer to 'clear'. Don't understand why, at SEMA, Associated didn't have one done up that way.

As for previous re-res being "low quality", such shouldn't be the case with the RC10CC, as this one (other than metal parts) is made from a completely different plastic material - it's not ABS, Nylon, or any other traditional 'colored' plastic...it's cast polycarbonate (ie. Lexan). And, as we both seem to agree, it wouldn't be for running. [emoji1360]

Brian, then you should like this video. An RC YouTuber "crashed" SEMA, specifically to go to the Associated booth for the RC10CC...and, discovered Traxxas was also there. You have to check out the 1:1 RC10 that was on display.
