Pics of your latest purchase

As seen on the Crawler Canyon, the Omnifixo M4 solder helper third hand has arrived. A very cool, simple, genius device that holds wires, plugs, etc. to make soldering a much easier job.

Each of the 4 holders is magnetic and has a ball end that lets each swivel in all directions.

That looks awesome! Was it expensive?

Thanks! I got this from my neighbor last night.

New RC tool stand, made from bamboo (light, strong, and very solid), to replace my now-broken Lexan tool stand. It even has a slide-out drawer at the bottom.

Speaking of the Lexan tool stand, if anyone is considering getting the Xtreme Racing Lexan Tool Caddy (Part# XTR1850B), my best recommendation is DON'T. Xtreme Racing is LYING in calling it 'Lexan' - it is NOT Lexan/cast polycarbonate. In reality, of is nothing more than cast acrylic (ie. Plexiglass, Lucite, etc). Whereas Lexan is strong, durable, flexible, and closer to "indestructible" (which used in the proper manner, as described by the company that created it, GE)...cast acrylic is fairly weak, not durable, anything but flexible, and VERY 'destructible'.

Having only a few tools to the left (two shock pliers, and two needle-most pliers) & right (scissors, curved Lexan scissors, snip tool, and shock balancing tool) sides of the top 'shelf', that piece snapped in half of it's own accord. Lexan might "bow" a little, but it wouldn't 'snap'.

It's probably more than I should've paid, but what this little device does is worth it's weight in gold to me.:) I'm tired of propping up stuff to get the right angle to get a good solder joint. $63 and $6 shipping.

Today. I bought 3/4 tank of gas and 10.00 for track time.

These little bikes look so cool. Nice to see you have a place to race them.

That indoor track is awesome. Where is it located?

I'd love to see your running video of this bike on the track.

Not cheap, but not astronomical either. Really cool piece.

Sand Pit RC Track in Jonesville Michigan. They have a youboob channel with vids. This was the 2nd race for the Promotos, 1st was in November which I didn't make, but they do have a stationary camera vids of both races and some other vids of the bikes on their youtube chnl.

Nex race is in Jan.

Track is about 3 hours one way for me to get to and from so its a bit.

Upgrading the video recording ability of my RC workstation with new cameras, and other hardware, with the last "piece of the puzzle" being this.

It is that time, once again...time to build a new 1/28 scale RWD vehicle. But, this isn't just any 1/28 RC, or even just any RC Atomic vehicle...this is the just-announced, and now-being-released, Atomic MRT EVO, along with some upgrades.

Upgrades (albeit, only a few, as the kit already contains certain parts that were 'upgrades' in other kits) include some already announced, and one that hasn't actually been announced yet (thus, the reason I kept the upgrades in the packaged Ziploc bag, as that part can't yet be shown to the public).

Speeder and Earl, nice. You should definitely get the mug. It's a solid 15oz'er

Fresh grind and pour over for the win!

Spoked Rims for the Maico.
Aluminum rim in gold and real tunable spokes. 12 spokes per wheel.
They are available in Gold as seen here, Black and Raw finish.
If you contact them with a note in the purchase, I understand you can get a different color hub installed during the build.
Unsure if that is additional cost or not.

But these things are BADASS.

Need to get a Front Tire yet. Will use Shoe Goo or E6000 to glue them to the rims.
