Great looking rigs guys makes me drool with envy. My offroad vehicle at the time being is also my daily driver so I can't go as extreme as you guys, lol. It's still pretty capable for an off the lot job, lol. Family, funds keep me to the scale side of the more extreme offroading for now. Hope to head over to Uwharrie NC and up to Rausch Creek later in the season with it. All swamp and beach here. One day, hope to do a 1:1 Bronco, wish I had my '74 back to rebuild .

2009 AWD HUMMER H3T ALPHA

V8 with PCM tune, Superchip, K&N intake, B&B exhaust, 250 AMP alternator
Rancho lift with My Ride on the fly adjustable shocks with under hood compressor

ARB bumper with Mile Marker 9500 winch with synthetic line
Bunch of LED's lol

Soooon to come: under body protection/skids, 1" Daystar Body lift, 37" Nitro Trail Grapplers, heavy duty CVD's, tie rods, drive shaft, rear swaybar disconnect, 2nd compressor & 2nd Optima battery, and ARB snorkle. Still have a little "Blacking Out" to do and also plan on many scratches and dings for character, lol.

Does good for now on the trails and in the swamps/beach "thumbsup", nope that's not my house in the pics, wish.

87 Samurai
1.6l EFI motor from 92 Sidekick
Toyota axles, 3.90 gears  Lockrite front, spool rear, toy rear CV driveshaft
Jeep YJ leaf springs
4.16 geared transfer case
34x10.50 Swamper LTB's
Sidekick seats, elec fan
Sidekick power steering, High steer linkage
I've done all the fab work, including the bumpers, and the 1/2 done exo cage.

Needs axle gears badly...

pics were taken at a comp, finished 3rd

The 35 is a crap axle...I've seen that thing break on 29's. The tubes are too thin and will flex and snap the tip of the shaft....and since it's a c-clip, the axle just walks out as you drive...

I know the 35 is crap. Its just real hard around here to find one forsale that came with the factory 44. I ran a Dana 44 front in my jeep with chromoly's and it held up for a year and a half, only sheared the teeth off the ring gear, and broke an axle. That was with 42'' tires and 350+HP. The 44 really suprised me. I didn't think it would be as tough as it was.

That 44 was more than likely either from a waggy or ford.....MUCH different than the 30 and 35. An easy swap for that XJ would be an 8.8 from a mid 90's exploder...it will give you a stout axle with disc brakes...all you'd have to do is reweld the spring perches...oh, and did I mention, there are plenty of upgrades for that axle since it is a common swap for drag racers.

I think the 44 did come in the wagoneer, its alot "bigger" than the small cherokee. Another thing i don't like about the xj is its 4 cyclinder and its carbarated. Around here you wouldn't be able to keep a carberater running. Just not enough power either. I would like to rebuild mine, and go tube chassis with the CJ6 skins dove tailed 14 bolt rear, custom 14 steering axle with dana 60 outers, 454, 6 speed, Atlas 2, and on 44'' TSL's.
A buddy of mine has a 1986 chevrolet pick up with a 350 and a 6 speed on 35's for $1700. Im thinking about picking it up.

Got a 95 Jeep Cherokee 2-dr.
- 4.5" lift & 32" Swamper TSL's
- Stock D30/8.25 axles (planning on 4.10 gears and lockers)
- On-board air
- Custom front and rear bumpers

I'll try to get some pics of it. Still dirty from our wheeling trip a couple weeks ago at Uwharrie National Forest.

Here are a couple...

Clicky...

I'm building a set of axles for it...HD44/60 and once those are done and ready to go in, H1 locks and 37's will be mounted up. That is if I ever can "just finish" something...:ror:

4.10 gears.

Not a very big jeep but fun as hell, and I drive it to and from the trail on every trip. I have a lot of plans for this project that I keep checking off the list as I go!!

The rock course is man made, and not very hard..... but its the best we have in SE Michigan!!

Nice xj! I was thinking about getting an xj and putting 33's and a 4 inch lift under it. Are those 32's? If not what size and its still got the stock dana 30, dana 35 axles right? How do they hold up with the tires.
