3D printers can be used for many things - toys, trinkets or even useful things or to replace broken plastic parts on items you have at home.I actually got close to buying a 3D printer for the hobby and then, for better or worse, refrained from buying one.
I think I wouldn't probably get as much out of it as I expect... Unless I start breaking what I have in my Gladiator, in which case an order of those accessories might equal the cost of the printer, in Amazon terms.
Ordering elsewhere might make it a tad cheaper but I never seem to get any good deals from Ali and the Alike (boom, a pun unexpected).
True, and I am aware of that but maybe should have pushed this info more on the table, because it might offset the family budget to get one It's a hard fact. Also hard fact is that in my area there are a lot of 2nd-hand 3D printers for sale, kept in great shape, some from people I actually know who are upgrading to better ones. So I could grab a deal, too.3D printers can be used for many things - toys, trinkets or even useful things or to replace broken plastic parts on items you have at home.

Life is a waste of time. We all die and it's game over. RC's are a waste of time. You could use that statement forever. The decorative stuff and trinkets are just fun for me. And if you're not having fun, you're wasting life.I think that decorative stuff is a waste of time. For the house, I've did adapters for washing machine drain, brackets for furniture. I've did several parts for cars that are impossible to do on the machine shop where I work.
For RCs, the printer allowed me to do the axles for the Unimog and the axles for my current build, along with many more simple pieces

Okay, I'm done.True, and I am aware of that but maybe should have pushed this info more on the table, because it might offset the family budget to get one It's a hard fact. Ah I try not to follow trends at all in anything in life. My point was that when it comes down to it, 3D printing, as a whole, is a wasteful hobby. That's why I laugh at the morons in 3D print groups that try to get up on a soapbox and make make comments or rants about waste. If they truly cared about waste, they simply wouldn't be 3D printing. All this stuff is eventually going to end up as whale food. What I mean is that I've used to be in a couple of 3d printing pages and there's always a trend that everybody follows, being the lion with the hair, flexi snakes, flexi dragons ,spinners,etc..I just print things with a purpose...vases are useful, for instance
I have been a member for over 13 years. This site has declined so much that I no longer recognize it. I used to come here for advice and help in solving rc problems, but this place has fallen off so much that I seldom ever come in here anymore. I own 11 crawlers and most have benefitted from this site. I'm not sure why or what happened, but this site is definitely on the decline. I hope things get sorted out because there was a wealth of information here. Good luck to whomever is running this site.
There is clearly a bunch of people in the hobby that are sick of social media.
Insane movie scene aha and it ends with the cellmate puzzled for a second and then... "Aaah!" And winks at me with thumbs up, as if I meant some kind of genius mastermind planCellmate: "What are ya in for?"
Reezo: "Transporting twenty-two bricks"
Cellmate: "Damn... Cocaine?"
Reezo: "Naw... Concrete"
