sooo ..... how are you guys "transfering" the strava information to the computer to get to this thread:roll:?? would like to do the same thing but do not know how:oops: i am a non premium strava member....

thanks!!!"thumbsup"

I just started using the app on my phone to track my rides, then to share I copy the embed code for blog and paste.

Before I had to manually enter my ride into strava. Haven't figured it out with my GpS yet.

What are you using to log your route while on the bike? If you use a smartphone it links it to your Strava account automatically. Alternatively, lots of other devices are supported as well. You just need to pick one that works with Strava. I use a Garmin 310xt and would never go back to using / risking my smartphone.

Nice lunch ride today. Best way to keep my head clear

Yup, still taking it easy. After breaking my leg last year and being off for 4+ months I dont care if I have to take it easy. As long as I am riding!

that's a good amount of climbing in 15 miles.

I've only done this twice, but I am really itching to do it again. Just not confident in my strength and stamina yet since I had the metal installed in my leg last year

That looks like my kind of ride, are you doing that on CX or MTB? Please take pics from atop the mountain if you do it. "thumbsup"
That sucks on the leg hardware, might be a good idea to add in some off the bike weight training to bring that leg back from atrophy, and promote bone growth. Or throw some road tires on the CX and pepper in some longer road rides to get your strength up.

Went for a ride today to just to get back on the bike and ended up checking out a new trail that was way to steep and loose to ride with my 1x9 gearing. Was still pretty fun though. Now I'm just waiting on my Taco socks and a 32 tooth chainring for my single speed. Got tubes too. So all three bikes will be in working order.

sounds fun, exploring new trails is always a blast. What are taco socks?

Last nights ride home, did a bunch of climbing. Still dont feel nowhere near as strong as I want to be, its nice to have strava constantly remind me of that too :ror:

Any riding plans this weekend?

Nice
gotta love when you can ride to and from work "thumbsup".

I'm definitely planning on riding this weekend, mostly road lately, but I want to get out on the dirt... it seems my MTB buddy hasn't been into it lately, I've been on my training the last 5 weeks so I can't wait to see how my SS riding improves on the dirt.

Here is my road ride from last night: Rode 40.55 mi on 41.16mi road cycling on 6/25/14 on 06/25/2014 | CYCLING Training Log Entry | MapMyRide

I'm actually thinking about the doing the Death Ride again this year.

Water pack with essential tools, some water, and a tube. That'll at least keep the ride going or get you home.
I had water and tools, but no tube. I got it replaced for free anyways at the shop where I bought it from, I figured since it needed replaced I might as well bring it in for a tune-up (which are free for a year). I bought two tubes while I was there picking it up, so at least I'll be prepared better next time.

Got to say though, legs are feeling a lot better and my quads are starting to build up a bit, so climbing is a bit easier.

Bingo. I now have two spare tubes. One in presta and one schrader. Probably going to switch the presta out for the schrader so I can actually now how much air is in it. Stupid schrader only tire gauge. Plus I think it'll be a little lighter.

Haven't ridden in a couple weeks, but ordered one of these yesterday.

Taking Thursday off and planning to ride that morning for a few hours. Needed a third pack because my nephew is in town and will be riding with us. Needed a new pack anyway.

MTB. I will have to dig up the old pics, I took a bunch that day. Cracked through the cloud cover at 4,000ft and the views were awesome!

No road tires on the CX... The bike with the knobby's are so efficient compared to my mtb I cant ask for much more. Did 30mi on Friday with it and climbed a popular singletrack. Cleaning it for the first time is sort of a right of passage for MTB newbs. Doing it on the CX last week clean felt good

So, I decided to drag my ass down to my friends place in Lake Forest and go for a ride on his trails. They were awesome!........Probably should have worn a different shirt for the ride but it wasn't to bad.

Nice, pics? That's why I have a gear duffelbag that I take with me for last minute pre-ride clothing adjustment. "thumbsup"
