Official Chesapeake, VA beach, Suffolk Trail Run Thread

I checked out your whole build thread Ram. I was able to see all your pics just fine. There was a bunch of useful detailed info in there. Good job buddy. It was cool watching the FJ come to life. I like the inner fender idea. I believe im gonna have to use that.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I've read A LOT of build threads, RC and 1:1, and I'm trying my best to pull what I liked about the style from the best of them together to make my build a worthwhile read for someone who finds it. Technical enough that it's not just pictures, but not so technical that it is boring to browse. It's a tough balance as I am an engineer as well as a picture whore. haha. I could write a full length document about every single mod I've done as well as post a million pictures but i refrain, or at least try to. I'm sure most don't read all of what I write in there, but I don't do it for them, I do it for the people like me who want to learn and constantly evolve. "thumbsup"

Anyways, I'm trying my best at a build, hoping that people can have a few takeaways after reading it plus it makes it super easy to look back on for reference for me, and it'll be a guide for future builds, I hope. I figured it have more views/replies; maybe it would if it was a Jeep...I'm sure throwing a grand of Vanquish parts on a SCX10 would boost the views and replies too, but I despise those "builds". Haha

If you have any questions on the inner fenders feel free to post up in my build, always happy to help.

Hijack and rambling over, back to VA RCing!

Ahh, well, it's a nice place to visit for a weekend. ha. Seriously, it's not bad, but I would still rather be in the US of A with a Budweiser in my hand. "thumbsup" I've just been exploring the area like hell on the weekends, found 4 good riverbeds to crawl in (like in pic) and I have wheeled some in the woods too, but the problem I've been facing with the woods is that it is either a vertical rock wall or completely flat and ankle deep with pine needles. d'oh! One of the guys at work told me of some hiking trails in the mountains to check out, so I plan to do that soon. And the castles, must wheel a castle before leaving.

The riverbeds are mostly sand I'd say, with a lot of rocks obviously. For now they still haven't gotten old, it just isn't something we get in our area so I am drawn to it. ha. It's pretty sweet being next to the river, it's quite calming listening to it rush by and all that foo foo Hello Kitty bullshit. :ror:

I sure as hell am glad I brought FJ, because there aint nothing else to do in this village except drink, and I like to drive my RCs when I drink.

10-4 You know I did!!! Its all axial except the motor. Its a high lift motor. He has 2 axials and a tamiya high lift. I think maybe a ax10 too. I encouraged him to get on here and introduce himself. He just got a Clodbuster in the mail this evening though so im sure he will be tied up tonight.lol

Here's my clod body k5 blazer I've been getting together. I have to make some shorter front links, but it's all good. Gonna get a different esc as well. Mount up the seats, steering wheel and mirrors and its all good
