Official Chesapeake, VA beach, Suffolk Trail Run Thread

I had a great time yesterday. Besides breaking the wench cable it looks like I broke a shock also. Next weekend do you guys want to meet on Saturday or Sunday?

Sunday is good for me also. Got the truck fixed. The body took more of a beating then I thought. All good. Maybe next week do a trail ride with a course set up along the way.

I'm in for Sunday also.

This is the most fun I've had in this hobby so far and magically nothing broke ...not counting the EXO but that that's nothing new there

Not yet, I'll crack it open in a second to see what's going on

I think I bent the rotor shaft slightly. It would always bind on the same tooth. Gave it some extra clearance on the mesh, we'll see how it goes

Looking forward too it. If everything goes well my wife will be going on her first group trail run with the new and improved trailfinder. Im off today and tomorrow so im gonna try and get this project wrapped up. I still need to figure our whats wrong with my winch. Ive put my rig on the back burner trying to get hers trail worthy.

Are we planning to follow the G6 rules in a about way? If so I think we should have gate section with trail rides in between each gate section. What do you guys think? It would take about 10 to 20 min to set up and we can pick them up as we complete each section. I do like the no HOG rule.

I'm in for sunday. Charging up the betteries and somehow I ran them down to 1V  Don't understand how that could've happened as I've certainly hit the Lipo cut-off. I hope these cells recover

Today I've learned that the winch slowly sucks down your battery when it's not diconnected, even when your ESC is off. Brought the nanotech back to life with a 0.1A Nimh charge and balanced out both cells to 4.2 8)

Ready for Sunday

I have 2 green axial markers, I can bring some spray paint too if we need to outline technical sections

Good to hear you brought your lipos back to life Miko!

As for Sunday, I am ready for either a G6 style or just a trail ride like last time. I'm going to try to get my winch back in the FJ before we go.

Either way, we definitely need to keep the no HOG thing going. Way more fun. "thumbsup"

Found out the problem with my winch. Loos connection in the circuit board. I think it shorted out after the pos+ came loose and fried it. Unless I can get just the control board im gonna look at radio shack for a double pole double throw micro switch just having it mounted to the rig would kinda suck. I could mount it in the tool box when I mount it I guess. As far as Sunday goes i'm down for whatever. See ya'll there.

I have a RC4WD wired winch controller you can have. Problem solved if you have an open channel, I'm pretty sure it's RX operated.

Here's what it looks like

See if you can find out how to make it work

I am 99% sure I am going to Belle Isle tomorrow for some wheeling. Everyone is invited, and you're welcome to ride along if you can find your way to Suffolk.

If not, see you guys Sunday "thumbsup"
