my main concern with the new format is, as with everything else when money is involved the fun usually ends. People tend to take it too seriously and it can ruin a goodtime.

I'm having a hard enough time explaining to the wife where the money goes as it is. :p

No matter what we do at comps, there will always be someone bitching about the way it's done. We've had it since day 1.

My main concern is that there are so many people going to these comps and with some of them being so far away now, I want those that are interested in the points series and going to the nats to have the best chance without newbies unintentionally messing with the points series.

Hmmm that's funny. We have been charging to enter for the past two years and have never had a single complaint. Not to mention our attendance is still growing. You NorCal guys must be pretty uptight. :lol:

On a side note I have a suggestion. Charge an annual membership fee into the club. Have that one time fee cover club members entry into events. Then, only charge non-members at the event. Make the club membership cheaper than having to pay at each comp and throw in some club stickers or something for the members. Only score National points for official club members. This is how we have been doing it locally and most people just join the club. This will give you guys small amount of operating capital for things like timers, cones, water for judges, trophys, etc... that will now not have to come from one persons pocket. ;-)
 
i got no problem paying a small fee to comp but if thats done there should be some prizes or drink and food, something.​

100% of the entry fees for each class get paid out to the winners of that comp at 1st = 50%, 2nd = 30%, and 3rd = 20%.
