New SSD SCX10 axle housings

these axles are BAD-A$$!! perfect fit and finish! just sad i didnt order the HD diff covers at the same time!!
And the Universals are sweet , too!!! cant wait to run it with more steering!!

suppose it helps to have the C-hubs on the correct side, steering sucks with them angled the wrong way!! >note to self... pay attention when re-assembling!! :lmao:

gotta say though, the HD diff covers(or the rock shields) will DEFINITELY be getting ordered... those little screws on the lower portion of the cover LOVE to get hung up on the rocks....

I see you released the m4 Rod ends but is there any plans on real easing them in both the long and bent options. I tried to drill out the m3 bent ends but there isn't much material left so I doubt they would hold up.

the only change I'd like to see made on these axle housings is possibly a 'Bolt-on' lower mount for the links and shocks... like your Wraith Diamond axles.... maybe a 'D60 2.0' version??? "thumbsup"

(not complaining, LOVE em as made.. just a thought)

Molded in mounts are better because it keeps part count and cost down, while maintaining strength. With bolt on mounts, it creates a weak area unless you reinforce the whole housing somehow...think Axial AR60 axles, they always break right at the two screw holes that attach the link mounts. ;-)"thumbsup"

a couple of 'first drive' action shots of the new axles...
Lovin the looks!! "thumbsup"

Looks good. And as somebody mentioned the HD aluminum diff covers are a great add-on. "thumbsup"

Agreed the new covers really are nice, they make the axle slide over stuff easier and its nice not having hardware down low to get bashed on.

Does your scx10 cms kit work with the wide xr10 conversion?

I suppose you're right.. they'd have to be A LOT thicker to 'utilize' that set-up well... then they'd lose their scale looks... I'm pretty confident they'll serve me well as is, though... "thumbsup" .... now to finish SSD-izing the rest of the rig!

Do these axles work with the RC4WD CMS kit (P/N Z-S0923)? I have one of these on my truck already, and are hoping that I can fit these housings without having to replace the CMS as well.

Yes just use the D60 axle panhard mount.

Cool, so I shouldn't have to replace the links for different length ones?

I think the geometry in their kit may be close enough to work. Try it wth the links you have first. If you need to shorten them then just shave the plastic rod ends.

got all the parts to do the D60 Wide axle conversion!

It should say somewhere in the product description that the ssd aluminum pan hard mount doesn't work with the d60 axle, just the stock scx10 axle. Kinda bummed.
