New SSD SCX10 axle housings

Wow, that's the first real breakage. Must have been a heavy fall!

It broke where the brass tubes stops, which is understandable.

Saw this on Facebook.

These axles cases are not easy to break at all so there must be some serious impacts or falls involved to do that.

They are now G6 certified as they were run in the 12 hour fix.

Hard fall is all relative. At one of my practice spots, a hard fall means rolling 18 ft down a 60° concrete hill with jagged rocks. There really is no "easy" way to go down unless you "HoG" it :ror:...for $25, something's gotta give, and I take all internet pics of breakages pretty lightly until it happens to myself.

So, I have searched and gone through all 41 pages so far and still have a question. I want to run these axles in combination with my GCM forward motor setup which requires a panhard setup. Has anyone used that combo? or better yet, does anyone know what size rod I'll need to make something work? Any assistance would be great.

Easiest just to pick up some 8/32 all thread and Revo ends and find out what the panhard length would be. From there you can sleeve it with tube or order a link from VP or others.

got mine mostly in tonight. XR-modded front with VP knuckles and Cs, scale hardware, and stole fr8cture's idea with the fill plugs. panhard from my Hand Bros kit worked out fine, just had to lengthen my upper link a bit. still need to buy/make a new tie rod and draglink, too. very impressed with the quality so far, nice work SSD "thumbsup"

Love the looks of these axle housings!
BUT i really want the alu diamond axle from SSD, any timeframe for when they are gonna release the front one?
Woud look odd with only one in the rear.

Maybe but its almost identical, the fit wont be great due to axial cases being flat and these being round also to rear mount on the baracket you posted wont attach to the ssd , there isnt a need for the hole like on axials

I personally dont think it's odd.

Anyway, we are working on the front one. There was a delay but it's in progress now. I dont want to give ETA yet..
