New SSD SCX10 axle housings

Im assuming those diamond rear axles are going to be the same as the ones for the Wraith that mimic the fabricated 9 inch in the 1:1 world.

So these axles flip the ring gear to other side. Which reverses everything. Why??

That's why I had to reverse my throttle channel. I didn't even notice they were flipped.

I will say they do get hung up more than the axial housings, but they look WAY better.

OK SSD, I was forced to assemble my first set of axle housings today without, aluminum bearing clamps and brass tubes. After putting my hands on these I must say that the material used is amazing. I pre-threaded the 2mm diff screws but the other hardware went in with massive bite! Love these housings SSD. Folk's add these to your shopping cart if you haven't already8)

I had the same problem of hanging up also. Would be nice if they had a skid plate to mount to axle. They do look good under the truck.

I really don't see where a skid plate would be necessary. The material is hella thick in every area including the impact points. I feel that the optional diff cover's that I picked up have a nice angle to assist in sliding over rock etc.

I love my set, even got the front to work with the GCM J2 chassis (GCM uses a third link from the opposite side that the SSD is set up for.

I'll post of picks of where it is now. Likely re-do it a bit to add more strength but I love the looks, fit, and finish on these. Not worried about the aluminum bearing caps - just gonna be in a slow scaler for me.

Heres a pic of my rear, some dumb luck on my part = a cool finding to those intrested.

A vanquish 4 link for the curries will fit with minor modification, the top hole lines up perfect, just have to drill 2 holes in the case and trim the 2 nubs off, and you will be golden.im waiting for the beef tubes cause it will be a strong way to attach the sidesof the mount
