New gearbox and gear options

Those axles look super nice! Why don't more people run them?

I think alot of people simply don't believe. Literally for under $10 you can have a nice lightweight gear case and gears that hold up extremely well. I'm still running my same PLASTIC gears in the rear now with over 100 packs through!

Not really trying to bring an old thread back to life but I am looking some input. I did a berg build with these gearsboxes. I used all metal Mad Torque gears with the exception of 4th gear. It is a berg gear with an RCBros locker. Originally I ended up with 2 defective gears that where just flat manufactured wrong. I got 2 correct gears and upon completion of the build I managed to break the 12t gear in the rear gearbox just messing around in the driveway. Replaced the gear and finally after 6 months of building this crawler I got it on the rocks and blew the front gearbox. I was taking it easy since this was its maiden voyage. It is a 6.5lb running 3s, HH 35t TM expert motors, M2dig. Nothing special really. What I really want/need to know is how are these holding up for people? Did I just get a run of bad gears? Part number is Mad-mm2003. The gears are cheap enough but the shipping cost sucks. What are some options now. Looking for advice please.

Bergs are infamous for having 3rd gear issues. Exceed gears are even worse than Enroutes. If you want to have a reliable Berg/Exceed/HR etc,. you need to upgrade the small 3rd.

What are the options for the Berg small 3rd/4th gears SDS are no longer available.

The last time we talked u were all so out of them.

I've been doing the big pin mode to RC4WD lightened gears sets for my Super with no issues. But I've heard they will no longer be available soon:evil:

PM me Tom G if you know of any other alternatives "thumbsup"

Not much option for small gears anymore. RC4wd, while they last are the best option and then back to stock Berg. Stock Berg is not great but they usually are better than people give them credit for.

Yeah, those RC4wd pins are a hurtin! I have taken 2 sets out of the package now that have had bent pins from the start! Crazy. Easy enough to do the big pin mod to though!

hello,,,I am missing one off the carbonfiber parts to the rear linkmount so my linkmount is very offset,, by maby 10mm,,
is this something you sell as a small parts to the superlites axels???
I have the two other pieces,,one carbonfiber and one in plastic/delrin...
It is the piece that is supposed to be on the outerside off the linkmount,,,
currently I only have one carbonfiber piece into the transcan,,so the links will not come strait on the linkmount..

Anyone have any luck finding these gear sets lately? Complete with small gears. Please post a link if you can find some.
