i think that price is a little off

Looking at the two pics, I think it has new wider axles and tranny (and a new chassis obviously). The gap between the outputs on the tranny is a lot wider than on the current Axial tranny.

Honestly it looks like a stock SCX10 running gear with a all plastice tube chassis and links just like every other RTR they make...(all plastic)

Why change what already works ? AXLES TRANNY SETUP

Price depending on were you get it MSRP is $685.00
Hobby shops and online will be any were from ( RTR ) 385.00 to 425.00 ( KIT ) if they do them should be 299.00 to 350.00 depending on were you get them

My guess is it is a new chassis only, and running gear will be just like the RTR AX10, and is being released to replace the RTR.

You really think it is just another SCX10 Chassis with a plastic tube frame? Look at the skid plate. Close to twice as long as the SCX/AX skid plate. Upper Link Mounts to the frame are different. Look to be mounted to the skid instead of the frame. Mounting screws on the skid are also different.

i want one but i'm not gonna pre-order until the logistics of this thing comes out, only those that are tied to axial's nut's really know a whole lot about this rig!

the more i look at it the more i like it, but only seeing 2 pics (both from the side) i'm still left wanting to know more! (damn axial)
no matter what anyone say's it's still something new, wich is alot more than any of the other camps are producing!

I called Axial tech support this AM with a question about the new AE-2 esc, but just for grins, I asked about the new rig, and they confirmed that the axles are a new design. When I asked about the tranny, they weren't sure...
Either the support guys have very limited access to tech info, or they are very good at playing it cool.

Are those wheels pre glued faux beadlocks?

Could always be like their XR10 beadlocks and have an internal locking ring and a single rear removable ring 8) Just a guess though.

I just hope they don't have the same tiny screws holding it all together.

Why can my MRC Pro have normal size hardware holding the beadlocks together, and the XR-10 comes with the "Strip-O-Rama" screws?!?

Looking closer at the picture it seems the transmission has to be different. I just can't see the traditional AX/SCX transmission fitting in that spot.

If it is a newer low profile transmission that would be cool as well. Especially if it used the same gears.......

Not a fan of that hardware either but I wouldn't count on it being any different if they did use those wheels (which is still a guess).

X2..............I countersunk my rings and used 2-56 x 1/2" flat head allen screws and it's better, but not awesome. "thumbsup"
