oh yeah and it's the Dodge Turbo Interceptor (wraith movie car) just a couple were produced, rumor that the movie car was found in a basement garage with no door to get it out... but at any rate...

yeah looks like my new scaler for summertime bashing might be this one :flipoff:

This thread is getting over run with drama queens and cry babies.

Waaahhhhh! I'm not boing to buy it if it's the same axles. Waaaahhhhhh! I'm not going to buy it if the axles are narrow. Waaahhhhh! I'm not going to buy it if it's wide. Waaahhhhh!

It's all just speculation at this point but still you're all acting like a bunch of 1st graders.

I'm glad to see Axial releasing another vehicle. I'm sure it will be hugely successful and I'm also certain that it will need some upgrades to meet many of the end users needs...and the vendors will step up.

Consider yourselves fortunate. Before Axial came on the scene, there weren't crawlers that you could just walk into you local hobby shop and buy. If you wanted a scaler or crawler, you had to build it yourself.

Bravo Axial! I may or may not buy one (my financial status when it's released might not allow it), but I am still eager to see what they release.

I don't think anyone is being a cry baby...and no one is saying that Axial is
not a great company, because there the top. Everyone loves there
products...But we are saying why preorder over speculations? Release facts,
its obvioulsy no longer a secret there releasing some type or truck, its time to
share all the facts.. Don't order on the speculation its going to be a new
axle/trany, I think anyone can understand that.

I believe they used 2-3 for the movie. I can't remember but I do recall that we found differences in the cars for different scenes. I know that the one that was shown close up with the magical motor and the one in the driving scenes were different for sure.

Edit: More info, it looks like 6 models were used in the filming, two real, 4 just shell props.

i myself would have called it something other than "WRAITH"
something like
poon magnet
mobile stabbin cabin
wild wagon
something other than "WRAITH"
but i'm not the ceo/owner/product manager/marketing well ya get the point, i'm just me!

all joking aside
this rig will bring new interest (already has) and more revenue for the fabricators and companies supplying us with already outstanding after market products!

i think this rig is going to be a bit big for our usual 2.2 taste but hey it's more realistic this way!
IMHO

I can see this rig having a more mass market appeal than any other rig they have released before. It gives the scale appeal like short course has to so many people. The plastic cage will most likely be very flexible and therefore not prone to breaking, I see almost Wheely King bashability out of it. I think this could very well be the type of market they were trying to grab onto. That is where the real money really is IMO.

You're exactly right. It's perfect for people like me that live on a sand bar with minimal rocks or crawl spots. Owning an moa is almost pointless around here and while scale is nice and all, it leaves me wanting a bit more of a performance based truck. This looks to be a nice middle ground.

I think it's bad ass that Axial has a Drop in truck (nearly) for all 3 scale classes

Dingo ,minus tires, C-1 Street
Honcho c-2 Trail
Wraith C-3 modified

"thumbsup"

Yes, agree fully. Glad that Axial has stepped up again for us shafty crawlers!

Definetly tempted to pre-order.Just scared I'll transfer from Alaska to WA and deployed before its released..hmmmm what to do what to do

Thats not the Street Price, it seems to be around an average of $360.00 from all the sites with Pre-order....

I sure hope so. Its hard to say when most of the adds on sites for preorders are using information that seems to come from this thread...I still hope they offer it in kit form so we dont have to buy stuff we already have.

First you posted:

So, did you or did you not order 2 of them?

Anyone want to speculate on the cost of a kit version? I'm guessing $260-280, given the msrp of $685 for an rtr minus motor/esc/radio comes to around $500, and the street price of $350 is 51% of the $685 msrp.
