New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades

Amazon is carrying a Enduro-specific product that is at once nifty, hilarious, and shudder-inducing...

Hood and side-panel graphic decals in a multitude of patterns - some of which fit each category mentioned above!

Not gonna lie, kinda want the faux wood panelling..... I wonder if there's a Clark Griswold figure out there that would fit in one of these... lol

I took a chance and ordered some X rings from Associated to see if they fit the Enduro shocks and sure enough they're the same width and thickness and feel very smooth after a bit of slime.

Nice find! I've been wondering about these.

Tell us more about the shocks - has there been sticktion reported?
And the caps - kit has alloy and RTR are plastic?

I haven't run mine enough to assess the shocks. They seem more on par with Traxxas, over the other brands. My vaterra shocks all seem to leak.

Those decals got me excited for a sec... I thought freakEskinz finally came out with some nice full body wraps.

DID YOU HEAR THAT FREAKESKINZ?! WHERE ARE THE ENDURO WRAPS?!

Shinchu, clear out your PM's!

Anyway, yeah... The Enduro would look mighty fine with a primered skin...

The kit shocks are the best Ive built, CLOSE to velvets, x rings and green slime. Hand tighten, zero leakage. Did I say Smoooooth????
Make my dravtechs look poor, and those are fantastic

Hang up and Drive

For a truggy - anybody check with SWM? They have some really nice stuff for Axial - should work on this Element.

If you are talking about SMF, people on here had some major problems either not getting the cage they ordered or it not fitting when they did get it. There is a thread on here with a bunch of members that were less than happy with their purchase from SMF.

I've only run the truck a few times in my backyard but I want to add that the X-rings I added are not needed at all I just like the idea of X-rings. The stock red O-rings are just as smooth feeling.

Kit does have alloy caps, I dont feel any sticktion with some green slime (I didn't test without slime).

Ya, them. I always get acro's confuzzled. LOL
That's too bad. I had some correspondence and saw pics of their work and thought it was a cool option. I was focused on my vaterra at the time and they were just building stuff for axial.
Oh well.

I thought a cawling buddy got one of their cages...I'll have to ask him.

Yes, walking again. Two weeks for the pain to subside. Kaiser sent me a bill for $1200+ to look at me for five minutes and nothing for pain. I told them there's something wrong with their program if everybody is charged $982 to show up there. But if I was an illegal alien it's free? That's what our governor keeps saying.
They're going to at least HEAR from me. It's a good thing I'm mentally stable. LOL
Thanks for asking. I need some RC time. :)

I saw on-axle servo mounts in both plastic and metal over on ShapeWays for the axles today... and a metal one-piece shock hoop and Panhard mount.

Also, front inner fenders that seem to include battery supports for bigger batteries.

Hot Racing brass wheel weights advertised as specific for the Enduro on fleaBay.

Stuff is coming out!

My Elem-End-Ero shipped yesterday... (shortened the name a bit, too dang wordy) "thumbsup"

Been trying to get the Ascender back-half cage to work and I’m just not digging the way it fits. Or rather DOESN’T fit. Sits up way too high and just looks weird.

Totally digging that utility bed though. Think I might have to pick that up!

What is the benefit of on axle servo mounts?

What Codyboy said.

Pros:
No bumpsteer
More efficient dragging of the tie-rod for steering, and not affected by suspension movement
Weight on axle, less weight up top.
No chassis shift on suspension compression from using a panhard.

Cons:
Not scale look
Need clearance for the servo on suspension compression.
Servo arm exposed unless blocked by a guard.
Exposed servo wire
