My new 2-speed scale Yeti

Shit... I don't know that much about brushless and big motor... I'm more a scale and comp crawle guy... Any other ''cheap'' suggestion?

The SkyRC motor that AWraith build mentioned before (they actually make the ESC you have) or the Hobbywing XErun 3656 are some good lower priced options for sensored Yeti motors. The Tenshock SC411 may be an option but it would be a tight fit against the battery tray. I'm sure there are other options out there.

That other motor you bought will run nicely in a SCX10 so it is not a total loss.

That is similar to the Hobbyking motor since it is also a 2 pole meant for smaller vehicles.

The main things you want to look for in a motor are 4 pole design and a length around 65mm (36mm diameter).

The Toro Pro4 550 can be bought on ebay for about $60 Canadian. Its hard to beat that price even if you have to wait on shipping from China.

Hey man, thx for the infos..."thumbsup"

And it will fit in the yeti? Looks huge ... And 2s lipo only...

It should fit no problem, it is the exact same length as the Tekin Pro4HD which a lot of us run.

As for the 2S rating, I wouldn't worry too much about that. 3500KV on 3S is very popular power setup using all different kinds of motors. Tekin doesn't recommend their 2500kv Pro4HD being run on 4S but that hasn't stopped me. "thumbsup"

It's a go then... thx, just bought it...

will have monster power in high gear but should be fine for scale run in low gear...

Shoot, I run my P4HD 3000Kv on 4S occasionally... It's nuts, but works well.

I run a Turnigy 4 pole but it's 4200kv. It was the lowest kv 4 pole motor hobbyking had. I run it with a 11t pinion on 3s, I have the 120 amp Turnigy trackstar esc too, and have had no issue and runs perfect.

I run that skyrc in my yeti in a 3000kv on 4s all the time. It's s power house. U can get it from Rc juice here in the states for 49.99. I have the same kv in a tekin pro4 hd and I can't tell the difference.

I had a PRO4HD 3000kv running on 4s in my Yeti up until it locked up and started smoking. So I just put in the same motor in a 2500kv version and it's been great so far, but I lost about 6 mph.

As i said, don't really care about speed... It gonna do some scale/crawl and a bit of "wood bashing", nothing extreme...

That's what I run in my wraith and was in my yeti. I agree it's a safer better motor at 2500 on 4s and a bit longer bun times.
