I picked up the yeti xl kit the other day. Started putting it together this morning and have come to a stop from missing parts. So far I am missing the pinion shims and the steering link, part AX 31025.

The steering link is not a big deal because the DHawk steering parts are on the way.

Sent Axial an email so well see what happens, should take care of me, they have in the past.

What has been missing from others kits?

I was given 2 right front steering knuckles, missing 1 of the shock spring retainers and missing the diff shims.

Was highly annoying as the front diff is one of the first steps and I didn't want to rip it all open again.

I also got all yellow springs for the front shocks. Instructions call for a short white spring and the long yellow spring in the front.

Other than those parts all others seem to be here so far.

Kit version should have yellow+yellow, I think that is a mistake in the manual.

7.9lbs/inch is YELLOW spring, WHITEs are 4.8 if I remember correct.

Keep in mind that 7.9+7.9 might actually make it softer in the lower end of suspension travel than having some softer helper spring, like eg 4.8+7.9. (the helper spring collapses completely later and the harder springrate (7.9) kicks in later.

I downloaded a couple diff manuals from the web when I got the kit. Easier for my old eyes to see on a big monitor when building.

running yellow and yellow now.
