these are perfect, but i hate to spent $130 on a non BL that im just going to have to hack up to narrow and paint anyway.

yeah ive seen those and the perfect and cheap plastic landy wheels on ebay. but i definatly need 2.2. its 1/6 scale 13" WB. actually 3.0 are perfect to scale but 2.2 will do.

no actually a M38 build. ive seen several of the 1/6 willys builds, but i dont think ive ever seen a M38 done here before.
the stock wheels are in pretty bad shape. dont think they would ever survive, even with beefing.

On Ebay, this claims to be 1/6 Willy's wheel. Looks to be 2.5"?
One auction (6.99 ea) claims to have 10 avail. Another auction from same seller, has one for $3.99 free ship.

What if you cut the face off those wheels and attached it to a narrowed Stampede wheel?

The old school Pede wheels stepped in a couple times from the bead, which could give you some of the step-ins the wheel in your pic has.

Sweat equity over cold cash and the chance to fail "thumbsup"

rc4wd do have 2.2 landies, not the cheapest way to go but pretty close to what your looking for

modified hummer rims:
i need 2.2s"thumbsup"

I don't know how accurate the resto is on this, but I shot these at this year's local Memorial Day parade:

Looking forward to your build "thumbsup"
thanks! the body im doing is the one with the sides that angle in just behind the front fenders, but everything else is pretty much the same, very helpfull. any clue what the two big loops on the back bumper are? my body has those too.

yeah right now that looks like the only option...

Cory,
How about these? I am pretty sure you could remove the extra bolts and fill them in for a perfect look...

for the same price and less work i think id stick with the landies. plus i need to narrow them so beadlocks are out.

Yeah, I wondered about those afterward; didn't think to ask the owner.

To me they look out of place, like an after thought add-on, and if I had to guess they're to protect the hitch perhaps.

i looked them up on a history website, and they called them "bumperettes"
only the military version got them, not the civilian version.

I've got a set of 2.2 buggy dish wheels to play with. Was thinking about making up some kind of detail that mimics a floating hub. Doesn't solve your requirement for a beadlock, though.

Just an idea, anyway.

yeah i looked at some 2.2 race wheels.
and i think your mistaken, im looking for a NON beadlock so i can narrow them and so they look like the 1:1 ;)

I feel your pain Cory. I have a large scale war jeep I have been holding off till I can come up with the correct size tire and wheel for it. It just seems that everybody making wheels are just making them way to wide...I will keep looking and if something comes up Ill give you a shout..

I know your all gonna think this sounds stupid but how bout just taking the RC4WD 2.2 OEM steel wheel and inverting it. Just use the back rim face as the front. I did that with my 1.9 set and it looks pretty close to what your looking for. Just food for thought..
