Michigan Roll Call

thanks

Hey thanks for the warm welcome, I havent done alot of crawling
but looking forward to doing some and meeting everyone thanks again!8)

Just dropping by to introduce myself, I am from Sterling Hgts, a couple miles from Larry's perfomance. I met Bimaryterror and a comple others up there today. Was nice talking to a couple fellow crawlers. I am new to the rc crawling scene but not in the 1:1 department, which is equally addicting. I would like to make it out to a couple comps to see some different setups and meet a few people and spectate a little. I only bought min AX10 a couple months ago with a few of my buddies and we all like to bash in our yards. We a currently collecting crap to build a basher sourse in my one buddy's yard, will prolly hit it hard in the spring since fall/cold weather is setting in now. Might be kinda fun to stud some old/junk tires and make an ice course this winter though lol.

Ryan, I hope Tekin helps you with the ESC. I figured the Hotwire would do something, but it seems stuck.

I wonder if the internal bec didn't go poof. I did see you were running 8 cells...might be it. Another idea to try if you can:
1. Remove the red wire from the plug (Xacto will pull the tab up in the plastic and slide it out).
2. Re-insert into RX.
3. Install a 5 cell (6.0v) receiver pack from a nitro.
4. See it that fixes it., if so the internal BEC is fried...you can run an external BEC and then it would be fine.

From Farmington Hills here. Just got into Crawling, made the mistake of buying a cliff climber, but that thing barely resembles it anymore. Instantaneously started modding it. Anyhow, if anyone in the area knows a good place to crawl, let me know and we can meet up. Good to see a lot of the folks in MI can still enjoy themselves in these troubled times.

Hey guys just joined today, my name is Jeff. I picked up an Axial Scorpion RTC last weekend, then built a small course. Now im hooked on rc crawling, I have gone through and done some of the mods like vented wheels, and cut the tires, added weight, then built my own LCA's. Nothing serious just keeping it fun.....for now.

Any good shops that sell crawler parts in the Ann Arbor area? I like Larrys (where I got my crawler) but it's an hour and ten min drive for me one way. I would like something closer to home.

Thanks. Ive been to Dirtburners a few times, I went to Riders (my LHS) they dont have any crawlers and have no desire to get any....thats too bad!!!

My outdoor course seems to be gaining about two feet in length a week, im cruisin the back roads for rocks. Its getting too big for the front yard

Just found the whole scale crawler thing this week, was big into RC as a kid/teen but just got out of it. Built a big-ish 1:1 Scrambler that I love but I'm psyched about the whole scale crawling thing and the idea of building a replica of my Scrambler. I'm in Dexter, also found out the hard way that Riders doesn't have squat for scalers/crawlers. Where is Dirtburners?

I'd love to manage to get together to see some of these rigs in person. Starting my build in my head and I'm the kind of guy who wants to know all there is about the equipment and options.

Hope to connect with some of y'all soon.
