MAC FAB Bomber build, TAKE 2

Its getting closer to electronics time, I need a little help, Bomber community. I looking for a servo that can lift a house but costs pennies. Slow doesnt matter, just something excessively strong and cheap. What is out there that fits my wish list?

Power HD 20kg has 277 oz/in for around $25. if that's not enough torque you could get two, I'm pretty sure there aren't any 500 oz/in servos for $50

Here are two with 425 oz-in for under $60. I have one of these in my Bomber.

ProModeler is another option, but like the Savox servos, they aren't pennies.

THAT looks like such a great option, looks like that's what I'm getting for my Wraith!!! "thumbsup" "thumbsup" 8)

............... Time to start panhandling to my Family. I miss making money, that I can actually LIVE on!  However, that's a deal, I've got to try to take advantage of.

And without even holding it in my Hands, I'm pretty sure I'd recommend it to people I know - just based on what I read!!

Cheap. That's fabulous, just in case this rig doesn't work.

I need to re-do the tie rods, just a little too sloppy, but an easy fix, because they're sheet metal. "thumbsup" I'm out of argon now, so no tabs got welded on for all the lower shock mounts. She almost stands on her own. I taped some clothes on her for some evening glamour shots on the dirt carpet. :lmao:The front bumper that ties the whole front mess together to the chassis plate is probably next piece of the invention business. I'll be done, one day.........

if you still want bigger tires Traxxas just released the UDR, which I'm pretty sure uses 2.2/3.0 wheels, with massive (5.2") tires.

I have that servo in my Gen7. It's no Promodeler, but it's a damned impressive servo for $30.

So why is the Promodeler so much "better"? I beat the crap out of everything I build, this Bomber will be no different. That Hobbyking "appears" to be a decent piece. As I see it, the steering servo is the whipping boy part of my Bomber build, as well as the UDR killer I'm going to be building shortly. Does the extra $$$ for the part really give the cat more "lives"? Its not like I'm building a buggy to race at the local sc track and I want that twitchy, lightning fast steering that would easily justify the expense.

Look, as far as the Promodeler goes... Read the website, realize that they are a made in the USA company that supplies servos to the US military for drone use and to the RC aviation community for high-dollar items where servo failure is catastrophic...and then decide if it's worth it to you. There are other great servos out there, but Promodeler makes seriously top-notch electronics...

If you do get a ProModeler, be sure to put dielectric grease in the board side of the case, and on the O-rings. I had some glitching, which turned out to be some moisture in the case. Dried it out for a few days, applied grease, and it's now back to running perfectly.

I've gototo make time to get back on this thing. Drove my first crawler today, a buddy got the TRX 4 Bronco. Much to my surprise, going slow was actually fun. So a question for the full indy or ifs crowd only. Is the steering angle adequate with your rig? I'm thinking I will want more than the +/- 45 degrees I get either way. Advice?

Look up UCFab's Lasernut FIS replica. I think it uses yeti parts.
