Maybe a silly question, but... did you have any problems with the stock ones?
Anyone else having trouble with the Losi Aluminum lower trailing arms? Specifically, the plastic rod ends? Seems like every 3rd time I take the truck out I break one off. Thinking about just going back to the stock plastic units at this point
Ugggh. Just got everything back together and one pack in more grinding noises. Get hard on the gas and the noise escalates with very little forward movement. I love this truck when it's running, but I have to say it's been a bit of a maintenance nightmare.
So, I have been through the front diff, center diff and can't see any obvious culprit. I also checked all the bearings, none were grenaded and they all felt smooth. I then checked the ring and pinion in the Currie rear end and it also looked great. I have no clue at this point. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you pull the front driveshaft doesn't the centre diff just diff out if you try to move it with the motor? A diff always sends drive to the side with least resistance unfortunately.
You'd need the locker to send power to the rear to test it in that configuration.
Have you tried powering the motor up in the hand and listening to it on its own ?
I have seen the washers that cover the "o" ring at either end of the diff deform which could cause slippage ,
I think trying the locker may help again isolate where the noise is coming from a cheap is locker is blue tack if you don't have an actual locker
You can clearly see that the one washers has become concaved ,
Also look at the rear drive shaft , the plastic splines can also wear away over time
When applying power what's is exactly moving and what isn't ?
Check the transmission case , Iv also heard of the plastic wearing away directly behind where the spur gear engages into a housing ,

Don't forget to upgrade the washers with these

Awesome - I'll order some up. I ordered all new parts for front and center diff. I'll get those washers on the way as well."thumbsup" I did have some laying around in my parts bin, and was able to use one of those to get everything back together. I then filled center diff with 30k diff fluid. She's "alive" again!
Appreciate the insights and info from everyone!
