Letter to Obama

BT would make a great politician-he can really put the spin on the facts. He makes a good argument for the unimformed & the ignorant could easily see it his way:roll:. Keep it up dezfan!!"thumbsup"

Dez, this is like a public PM huh? Oh well it's fun.

Yes it is, I always seem to have to help you see the light.

However that bill gained enough support by the Republicans to pass...using your own "they voted for it" method.

Without question, there were Republicans who voted for it. But the CRA is the DNCs baby; lock, stock, and barrel.

Lets be honest I think we both disapprove of the political system as it stands as a whole right now. From top to bottom we can likely agree the idea of family, business, and career politicians is not what the forefathers thought and what is tainting things and causing such a 2 party divide and keeping good politically minded reform out.

I do agree, and will ad that the first thing that we need to implement is term limits. The greatest issue this Nation faces is career politicians.

Timothy McVeigh, a Christian radical, implemented terroristic actions on a government building. We never fought or profiled all Christians as Terrorists.

A Christian Terrorist? During his his childhood, his family were indeed Roman Catholics, but in a recorded interview with Time magazine McVeigh professed belief in "a God", although he said he had "sort of lost touch with" Catholicism and "I never really picked it up.

The Guardian reported that McVeigh wrote a letter to them claiming to be an agnostic. McVeigh also stated at one time that he believed the universe was guided by natural law, energized by some universal higher power that showed each person right from wrong if they paid attention to what was going on inside them. He had also said, "Science is my religion." So to label him a Christian Terrorist is unfounded.

The 9-11 attacks were just the latest in a series of attacks that have taking place for decades! They were perpetrated by self proclaimed Islamic terrorist carrying out Jihad.

And Bush's family has ties to the Bin Ladens. Might it be better to befriend those who's family has not attacked the US, than those who have and continue to speak out against the US.

Muammar (Q)Gaddafi is friends with Bush's right hand man in Britain, Tony Blair. Condolezza Rice was the first US politician to enter since 1953. Hmmm those are Bush's friends trying to seek friendship with him.

So if your family members were friends w/ someone who committed a crime, then you too are guilty of that crime?

Palin holds no knowledge of the law, thats a fact. She can not realistically read a bill and understand its effects on our rights. Have you tried to completely read a legal document as critical as a bill with the legalese? I want a lawyer to review these things, not a Pageant model.

So how many of our Senators or Representatives have enough of a legal background to review them? But you seem to have an issue w/ a Governor doing the same? Or is it just a Governor who is a Conservative woman?

Her family life both during and post election have also said a lot about her ineptitude. Being faith based and against sexual education, she did a great job of instilling those values of abstinence into Bristol huh?

Do you have children? If one of your kids were to do something that you didn't belive in or agree with, does that make you a bad person?

Weird George HW Bush had no executive experience. Ford, Nixon, Eisenhower, Hoover, and McCain all never had any executive experience either.

I don't have the time or energy to disbute all of those listed, but I do believe that President Bush(Sr.) was the US Ambassador to the UN, he was head of the RNC, Director of the CIA, and Vice President for 8 years before becoming President. I would call that executice experience.

Kill, maybe not. I think we might look to do something, sometime...just definitely not now. I mean the #1 thing right now should be ending the military occupations or re-working them to become a hunt for the Taliban and its leaders. Following very closely is the economic status of the US.

We need to kill the current health care bill before it completly wrecks our healthcare system. We need to find and destroy Al Qaeda and the Taliban. The best way to do that is to give our Generals what they need to do the job and get the damn polititians out of the way!

Guys take it easy on BT, he is actually a really good guy that is just a little left of center.

He isn't nearly as nuts as he sounds on the boards.:-P

Damn Dez, you know your stuff. I would love to sit down, throw back a few beers and spend an evening talking/debating with you. "thumbsup"

Yeah more generally I'm not too left, but in these mini debates...seems like everytime I gotta go left whacko..."thumbsup"

This is ridiculous Dez. Come on now I know you hate the man, but you can not compare their presidencies. I'm not saying Obama is perfect or the right choice, however you compare things take a look at their opening day greetings.

Bush was greeted into office with a surplus with a steady economy.

Obama was greeted with a spiraling economy, 2 military occupations, and a poor global perception.

You want to blame someone, look the the RNC for allowing a ridiculous choice of VP. I was on McCain's side until they picked her. That's when I jumped ship as well as many others. Had the RNC picked Mitt Romney as VP things would have gone very differently, especially in the Blue State I live.

Bush did NUMEROUS things he should have been impeached for. Bush alone drove this country into the ground. Obama's been in the office less than a year. Really is that long enough to make a judgement call on the guy who is coming in after 8 years worth of **** ups and making our country hated??

Dez have you ever been to another country? Like over seas? People compare Bush to Hitler, and would like nothing more than to see him beheaded. Over seas I have met NOONE over seas who didnt bring up Bush and what a idiot he is. He brought a HUGE arrogance to our country while out country was rotting from the inside out. And ALL of this is suppose to be fixed in less than a year in your eyes??? Bush was in office for 2 reasons and two reasons alone. #1 to make daddy proud. #2 go for oil since it lines his own pockets. Hurricane Katrina is a perfect example of his "caring-ness" for our country.

Really do you want to get into Republican/Democrat debate at the times were in?? Yeah I admit both have messed up (Im not here to say ones better than the other), but with what we are dealing with today in the middle east is hardly anything the democrats have done. Who funded BinLaden's organization? Who sold them guns?? Who helped them train? It wasnt Bill Clinton. Shit went all the way back to Reagan.

Again, I dont agree with everyone Obama may have said or done. But getting Bush OUT of the whitehouse was the best thing that happened to this country in the last almost 9 years now.

Head been stuck in a peet moss bog or what? You blame everything on Bush yet you forget that the Dems are the ones that controlled DC for a great part of Bushes 2nd term were everything went down hill. We were attacked during the very begining of Bushes First term because of the things that Clinton did. Clinton had Binladen and let him go. He was too worried about getting his knob polished and bending over for his strapon wearing wife.

We went to war against Terror period. It was all about terrorism. Oil may have been a small part of it simply because oil was funding terror while raping us and other countries because they we raising the price of oil to fund terrorism on Our and other countries dimes.

We went into an economic downslide during Bushes last term because the Dems were pushing loaning institutions to leand out money to people that were trying to live way beyond their means. Agian a Democratic created Problem. Tarp and the bailout came about during the Democratic ruled house. Bush put the clamp down on the spending because it was being abused yet the Dems and Obama resumed the spending spree. A simple google search will net you the graphs and charts to back up the fact that our deficit took its largest leaps while under a Democratic rule. Obama has taken a Deficit and ran with it increasing it 3 fold in less then a year. His failed policies so far that clam to have created a million or more jobs have been a farce as unemployment has not slowed down and actually went up to an actual over 17% rather then the Gov reported 10.2%. Yeap another multi billion dollar blunder by Obama and the Democratic Super Majority. At the current rate with the health care package, we will see our deficit/debt over 10 trillion dollars by the end of the decade. Proove me wrong but I believe that is the highest it will ever be during this countries history.

Oh lets nto forget that Obama actually agrees with the Muslim side which is why he is not willing to send over troops to get this thing done in a timely matter. He is not going to pull them all out either because it looks better to have our troops die in his eyes and it makes the muslim/islam fight even stronger to have our boys and girls fail. Why? because he is muslim and has actually sided with our terrorists back home here on our own soil.

Been voting loong enough in my 42 years to know what is going on with DC.

I would much rather have had Bush do a 3rd term then what we have going now.

As far as people stepping down from Bushes cabinet, Obamas cabinet is doing the same thing right now. Just that Obama has been lossing his in less then a year.

You can just go on believeing what you believe. Just remember that is beliefs such as these that brought about the current administration and more then quadrupled or deficit and put rocket boosters on our criplling economy.

See we were on track for a crumbling economy due to people spending beyond their means all the time. All Obama did was take the curves out of the road and put the vehical in over drive.

My 3 month old son has more brains then the whole current administration put together and he craps his pants daily.

Well the boss just called, time to go fire up the big truck and do work.

That's right Norm.... Kuwait is the 5th largest supplier of oil to Japan followed by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran and Qatar. Japan imports the most oil from Kuwait.... Not the USA like you claim;)
Saudi Arabia has the largest oil reserves (Canada has the 2nd largest reserves)....
Japan has very limited domestic oil reserves and relies almost totally on imports to meet its consumption needs.

The Haliburton article you link is by one of the most liberal hack job web sites out there, so it's hard to put stock in any of that drivel"thumbsup"

Where did I or anybody else call you a liberal? Was it because the link you posted was to a liberal online magazine? I read that article... at least until I started feeling the urge to drink Kool Aid, but that doesn't make me a liberal:lol:

Things are cool between us as always"thumbsup" I learned not to take these debates personally8)

The link you provided about Kuwait is a good one.... Tells of the country's relatively young independent history.... which would have been even shorter if we and the UN (barf) hadn't booted Iraq out"thumbsup"

I know buddy,lol.
I say Jesse Ventura or Ted Nuggent needs to run for office, but I dont think they want anyone hating them because the shits too deep!
