I havent been to Vasquez rocks since I was a kid. I wish my rig was waterproof. How could I go bout makin it water proof? Only thing I got us that Lil box where the receiver goes in n u use the Allen keys to lock it.

I'm in the South Bay (Torrance). Have Losi Night Crawlers and a Wraith.

In Torrance there's Columbia Park. It has a very extensive rock garden. Almost like it was put there with us rock crawlers in mind. It's not far from Long Beach so if you want to make the drive up I'd be down for hitting the rocks if it's early enough in the day.

I'm in Costa Mesa and I crawl anywere I see rocks! I seriously just have my gear with me at all times and if I see a spot that needs to be crawled or traversed, I do it "thumbsup"

I have a wraith and an XR10 Mantis. Both are fun to have in the trunk for impromptu crawls.

Been crawling at Griffith Park. lately. Some neat spots, but you really have to search for them. All the rain run-offs make for some sweet little valleys. Also, I recently was mountain biking near JPL (La Canada Area) and found some spots over there. That may be Eaton Canyon but I am not sure. Sick river crossings but my rig isn't water proofed yet. "thumbsup"

Nice to see some local crawlers in this forum. That spot in Torrance sounds really cool. I would like to check it out one day. Griffith park sounds good also. I drive n wouldn't mind checkin out some spots.

What's everyones schedule for crawling?
Are weekends best for everyone?

Would be cool to set a date n have some crawling.

It's usually fine. We generally attract the attention of the kids that are playing on the playground that is adjacent to the rocks but they are usually pretty good about watching. However, holiday weekends can be a zoo. The park is on the north-west corner of 190th and Prairie (east of Hawthorn Blvd.).

Noon is the latest I can make, would even prefer 11 AM if it would work for others.

any thoughts on balboa park? heard there is some crawling spots there. i try and crawl after work most days around 2 or 3. let me know if anyone is interested. ill be going out today for a little but i will be going out tomorrow night for sure. probably around hansen dam. since its close and one of the best places to crawl. bring on the rain. but maybe we can get a nice size meet going for Nov 5th. saturdays are better for me
