Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

working on moving weight around....

i came up with this. i will , in theory, be able to run a slight bit less weight and it feel the same or more"thumbsup"

once i make the delrin blank the concentration of weight will be almost 3/4" farther out than before.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

How much weight is that? 2-2.5ozs?

I see you made delrin spacers for the wheel, I was wondering if you had since the weight we talked about was more then you posted.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Cool, nice wheel hub lightening as well, trim those screws lose mo weight.

These are one of the 4 bar designs...these are .45 without a hub and .7 with a hub iirc...

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Jeremy what do you think about cutting those brass rings in half and running the weight all below the axle? It looks like you could at least do it to the .300 ring from all the space you have left over between the .100 and the outer carbon ring. (or are they cut already? cant tell from those pics)

oh, they are...

although i wont be using these same ones...

i will have them forward of the axle rather than under.
if you think about it....

anytime you are climbing or breaking over a ledge or whatever, the weight under the axle is lower to the ground than it was sitting flat. this reduces your bias anytime you are climbing....

with it in front it is always the farthest from chassis center therefore increasing bias. you could actually have less weight and more mechanical leverage.

The carbon disc obviously holds the weights, I don't remember seeing a closeup of this, could you post a closeup of how you fixed it. I have a sheet of 2mm carbon fibre just aching to be used

If you look at the first pic, it looks like 2 holes are drilled into the knuckle. One above the universal, one below.

I noticed after cutting mine angled it also keeps the weight below the axle center when turning.

You move the weight around less when your turning.

Going back to Nabils post about the 8* knuckles and raising the weight. It helps keep the weight low. You don't raise the cog when steering.

Nice job on moving the weight out.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Just gotta say I love the new chassis. First time driving it since I built it and finished 2nd by 3 points at our local comp. Also won the shootout course. I'd say that's not too bad for never even driving the rig before.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

thanks.

i think the rigs can be pushed farther. the key is to try to push everything....i mean last year a 4 lb truck was unimaginable...

Rig looks great Jeremy but....

Got a chance to get these 454 in to the rig. 4lb 8oz rtr!!!!

That would be well over a year ago.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"
