KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

They are right down in Olathe I'd just run it down there and have Joe look at it. He has always taken care of me.

"thumbsup" Joe is good! Didn't even look at it. I called him this morning, he had a new one waiting for me when i got there. Swapped out, no questions asked.

Installed new one and works great....sort of...stupid fast, can't keep the damn thing on the ground. LOL! Gonna have to regear.

Well...so much for that...new MMP lasted one pack. Everything was working great, ran down the first pack, switched to a fresh one and it won't do anything. No lights, no beeps...WTF??

Check the gear mesh? Is it wider than stock, maybe the pinion set screw is making contact? Metal on metal will be louder than you are used to hearing. One of my old 4x4 short course trucks had a metal spur and the damn thing sounded like a chain saw.

yah I had that 4x4 short course with steel gears & alluminum chassis. chainsaw for sure

yeah i redid the mesh several times and it is just flst noisey and just doesn't feel right ? i just ordered a .6 pitch pinion to see if it helps

Did you order a HARDENED steel pinion? If not, you may end up eating that pinion up pretty quickly. My Wraith is all metal and is fairly noisy but it doesn't sound like anything is "wrong".
