KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

just like to say thanks to everyone who showed up today at Goat Hill,
"NOT"
only one person showed today to help out today !!
& he came from way out of town to do so.

not one of our local members showed !

really disappointed Guys.

seems like there just a few members that care about this club any more !!

i am getting tired of being the only one who shows early everytime,
go the extra step & working my ass off,
hauls everything around & trays to keep everything going for this club.

i know everyone has things to do with family - work - or whatever.
but so do I,
but i still make time to keep things moving forward - club wise !

if everyone is lousing interest in crawling or showing up early to help out.
then fine !

i am about there my self now & about ready to quit doing the club administration duty's all together !

so its going to be up to you guys from now on to,
show up early to set up comps - stay to pick things up when everyones finished,
& help out when you can.

i hate to through this out to everyone like this,
but everyone involved in this club has to do there part,
& not just rely few people to do everything !

the DmG

Well now theres a guy who has the right to be pissed at me and most everyone else in this club. I know theres a few good eggs that always arrive early, stay late and try to stay involved in helping to keep the comps running instead of taking off t0 bullshit or play with scalers and crap or just plain leaving when they want to while other people still need to run the courses. I know that this stuff has been bothering Jerry for a few years now. I understand. I used to try to be one of those good eggs but my enthusiasm has waned in the last year or two after I started noticing how much its really been the same few people over and over that always arrive early, help out and stay late(you guys are the ones that really make this a great club). Picking up other peoples slack gets old.

Unfortunately late last season and all this season Ive become one of those members that doesn't arrive early to help set up or even on time. While I do try to help keep things going and be there to help pick up, my late arrivals will probably continue through out this year and maybe into the next as the circumstances are beyond my control at this time. My ongoing lack of punctuality is unfair to everyone. I don't want to be a part of whats wrong with this club any more. So Ill be withdrawing myself from it until I can afford to devote my time to you all in a manner that the club as a whole deserves.

I would like to apologize to Jerry and every other member that has been carrying my part of the club duties. It has not been fair to any of you. Thanks for letting me be part of a great club. Let me know when or if you all have a GTG, maybe I can find the time to come run a few packs with you guys."thumbsup" Ill look forward to rejoining you all as soon as I can get a better handle on my personal life.

I second this mans words

you are right brian , most of us have really dropped the ball when it comes to this ( and we really shouldn't have ) . i know i am guilty of it as well ( usually due to not being able to come out because of work or stupid comp day issues that should have been taken care of prior ), everybody should pitch in one way or another . i have seen alot of posts from other clubs and other people talking about kcrc and how great of a club we are ....... it would be a real shame to just let it disappear due to not working together as a club . i am sorry to see you step back from the group brian , but i know some of what you are going through and i understand fully why you are doing it ( we will have to get together to go tear up the skate park or go trail riding though )

With the cancellation of the Goat Hill Team Challenge event,
and not being re-scheduled until June 1st now.
A few of us felt it was important to help Jeff work on clearing out his trails, in preparation for next weekend's event.
Even though it's a comp, we all know we want to get our scale on afterwords,
so we figured we'd better get to it! "thumbsup"

Get'er Done Boys!

I've always enjoyed getting out early and helping with what I can. But now that I have taken on this night shift manager spot I have been working up to 76hour weeks. Hence why you guys haven't seen me run this season. We will be getting to some shorter shifts in about two weeks that will run for a couple of months and I really hope to be able to make it out then. And Jerry, if I actually start getting Fridays off now that its getting warm I will be calling you up like we have talked to work on the ewok bridges.

Sorry Jerry...I was under the impression GH was ready to go with it being originally schduled for Saturday. I do understand your frustration and agree with you. I also apologize for any less than full commitment, this year, on my part. (stupid life has been messing with my pig rather severely)

However...our little impromptu trail day at BCreek yeilded some fantastic trail additions, as well as a spic-n-span comp area and pit's.

Hope everyone can make it, should be fun!

Guy's I was working last Saturday snd would not have msde GH anyways. I am slso working this Saturday. All work and no play pays the bills. But at times gets in the way of fun.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm just getting started in crawling though I used to race on-road years ago. I do work many weekends so I may not make it to many of the scale runs or comps (though I plan on making a few at least) but I'm willing to help out during the week. I've heard really good things about the crawler community in the KC area and I can't wait to see what it's all about. I also have a couple friends I'm working on getting involved too.
