KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

Guys I need a Dmg rear truss v1 i belive. if someone has it i would also like a v3 with panhard mount. Anybody have some laying around? I have PayPal ready. I found the v3 at rpp but they are out of the plain one. Reply, pm, call or text 816-263-1393 thanks fellas. Trying to get a build wrapped up for Christmas.

thought i would go ahead & put this up !!

DmG & Dinky are doing a exploratory scale run tomorrow @ Blue Springs lake !!

cant say if there's anything out there good or bad to run on there,
but that's what were going to find out tomorrow.

if anyone's interested in finding out with us,
were meeting up @ Noon (12.00) by the boat ramp @ the dam (the big parking area)

going to be a long trail/walk so U may want to bring a extra battery

hope to see ya there !!

Damn...don't think I'd be able to be out there by noon. You guys should come along with Caleb and I next weekend when we go!

Welcome!

Damn good for comp...but only so so for scale. So far we've been laxed on the allowed vehicles for our Goat Hill scale runs...pretty much just limiting it to the only pre req being that it's a scale body. But I know Jerry was saying that they plan to do some true scale events next year that typically TVP(twin vertical plate) chassis vehicles aren't allowed to run in. Basicly you start off with a scoresheet where you get more points for the more realistic your rig is.

However....I'm sure that myself or another club member would have another scaler rig you would be able to run if you wanted to participate in an event like that! "thumbsup"

Thanks I appreciate the warm welcome and offer. Side note, got the AX10 on Friday.... wheeled it yesterday at Weston Bens SP.... wow, I am impressed. Came home yesterday and started cutting foams and venting tires! "thumbsup" I am looing for a scale project to tinker on over the winter, any suggestions?

Welcome to the club! Best idea is to buy a star and watch the classifieds, scalers come for sale daily. Sometimes at smoking deals! Or if you want new just dial up rpp and pick up a kit, most prefer axial. That's easier to trade parts!

I've been over there, didn't realize there was anywhere to drive though. Did you take any pics?

Excatly what he said! I did the same and ended up getting a great deal on a dingo. Plus the stars let you enter the giveaways and I have already won a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff through those!

looks like its not going to a bad of a day (temp wise)

The Wife asked, what do I want for Christmas. I said the Axial Exo Terra Buggy. I would like to know from you guys who have one. What do you think of the truck? The kit version. Thanks.

just realized the trails at jacomo we're checking out this saturday isnt too far from blue springs lake. if we get a few trails in that area figured out we could work up a series or full comp of some sort

Had a fun run today out at Blue Springs Lake. "thumbsup"
DMG and Dinky R/C were scoping out new terrain,
and we think it has potential for some alternative fall/winter time scale action.
Trails seem to be kept up and clean from the Mountain Bikers.
Saw lots of nice photo ops along the way.

Here are the MapMyHike coordinates, if anyone wants to hit these trails.
Might be a good Idea to start building a "sticky" ?
Since it seems more folks want to start exploring new areas.

These trails have a 1-2 "G" rating. (Goat)
Decent grade changes on the West trail.
Especially toward the end.

BSL trail was kind-a cool !!
mostly a walk thru the woods,
with out copings of rocks here & there - with rocky places along the shore line.

would be good for a club Scale TRAIL style run.

around 3 + miles one way from the north side of the dam (found the Trail head) heading East to wood chapel rd.
i would say it would take 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to run - one way

would be cool to get a bunch of us out there some time & just have some relaxing scale driving - & take some cool club pics

could park everyone @ the dams north parking area.
one vehicle parked @ woods chapel rd to bring us all back to the dam parking area.

sound cool ??
want to try it some time ??

post up your thoughts !!

Sounds very cool Jerry! I need to stock up on some bigger batteries for sure!

You gonna join us next weekend and check out the other spots at the other end of the park? Supposedly a lot more rock reveens and a creek area

I think the Smithville Lake trails would be perfectly suited to more of the goat hill type running. There are varying lengths of loops and such but some have some really good rock sections right on the trail. I have done the BSL trail once before several years back, definitely know what you mean by more of a walk in the woods.
