KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

Help please...

Well thought I was going to bombproof the driveline tonight, but.....over looked one thing (pic). Would anyone know if a different brand (that Hobbytown might carry) utilize the same size screw shaft?

Getting ready to sell off some unused stuff in the for sale section, and remembered a couple of you asking about these before......hate to let them go, but thier not being used. LMK if your interested.

One of the first sets, I believe, from our very own Bad Attitude Machining.

Not to step on your toes Jeff, but I have a set also. They will come with a set of white dot sedonas and stock foams. I'm not using them, but they could be used by someone else....

Ok, so I got my phone back on and I'm halfway out of the darkness, now my laptop needs to be rid of the virus it received here at RCC in mid Dec.

I read through the resent virus threads and looked at the link that binaryterror posted on how to fix the problem, and I'm wondering if I can fix this myself??? My pc skills are poor at best and I'm afraid of making the problem worse. I really can't afford to take it to a professional or don't even know what it might cost for that matter???

I've never dealt with a computer virus before, but the link to fix it seems fairly straightforward ...can a simpleton do this? or should I leave it alone?

My laptop is a acer aspire one running windows xp with McAfee AV protection that failed to protect!!!

What to do what to do???

I got that dam virus too Chris....I just installed the FREE version of Malwarebytes (and the two week trial pro version) ran the scans and it took care of it. Had no promblem since.

Thanks fellas, do I NEED to create a new user account set as administrator to do this?

Or can I just log on normally and connect to the internet via wifi, install malwarebytes and kill this virus bitch? I remember reading where someone tried this but the virus wouldn't it through...had to change the name of the file or something ...ldk

Up until this week I was contemplating crushing up some antibiotics and sprinkling them over it and putting my laptop in a warm blanket :ror:

I think the theory behind setting up another account is that in theory the new account may not be infected. It may be tied to the old account. That approach can work, but I wouldn't say it's universally true that you would need to do that.

I had one recently get that virus, and I had to take out the hard drive and hook it up to another PC to remove the infection. Google Chrome and eSet NOD32 are my normal solution to those problems.
