KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

Radio Hack used to have the cheapest crap known to man. You might check with Electronics Supply.

I went and picked up some at Walmart last night. They are huge. I am using them for mock up. I ordered 3 different one's from electronics supply too though. They just take 2 fawking weeks to get here! The magnet on them is tiny in comparison though so it should be worth it. Thanks for the tip, helped a ton!

The others have a magnet probably 1/5th the size.

Would any of you Wraith guys be able to confirm stock link lengths?

My searching has turned up the following:

Stock upper - 125mm eye to eye

Stock lower - 128mm eye to eye

Stock drag - ?

Electronics Supply is one of my favorite places for electrical misc. Its where I buy all of my shrink tubing (4ft sticks are hella cheap), LED prices arent too bad if you need some right then and cant wait on shipping from someplace really cheap and you can get a decent Hakko soldering iron (only $12!)that will blow away anything Radio Hack sells. Im surprised they didnt have any speakers in stock. Didnt think about it but Micro Center or some other PC parts supply might have been a good choice.

Spill the beans, will this be a ported, sealed or bandpass enclosure? When did VP start making gold Daytons? A little white wall paint and a little yellow lexan paint could turn your Boss Claws into Vogues. :lmao:

You say the magnet is smaller, will the basket depth be less as well?

I picked up this little mp3 player case that is self amplified and the speakers are like little aluminum woofers. It sounds incredible for it's size. I bet in 1/10th scale they are like 12 inch woofers. I thought about tearing that thing down to work with. It was only like 15 bucks.

Yeah I asked them on about all the parts I could find. Not a one in stock. Jerry is making the mount adjustable for height. The basket itself looks marginally lower profile but the magnet will be the big reduction.

Likely free air but an outside shot of a sealed enclosure  Airspace will be minimal though.

The wattage on this system is pretty decent, I don't think the little speakers would take it. For sound depth they also suggest the larger driver size.

I tried free air once, sounded terrible. With limited air space maybe a tuned port is in order? :ror:
