Ittybitty's BERG

New motors showed up today! I'd been running some HH 35t's that came on the axles when I bought them and waited til these new Brood motors were released. Initial impressions are that the startup is just as expected...SMOOTH! They also have more wheelspeed judging by top speed of the rig...it scoots now! I haven't attempted testing the all out torque they have...I'll reserve that for when it's necessary 8)

Thanks Eddie!

Glad they showed up after the goof.....moral of the story, double check stuff when yer shipping to THREE people with the same first name in the same day!

I wish had more of the HHK-S arm to sell, but the first batch sold out fast. Next batch is on its way, so hopefully soon.

And look, they even have stickers now:flipoff:

I hear ya on the berg thing. I have an XR10, that I never even finished. I've ran others and just watched a lot of breakage, especially if stuff was left stock. I love my berg, as I can beat the crap out of it and know if I get on it, its not going to implode. Others seem to have no issues with the xr10 though, so might just be it fits some drivers better.

So you're going to Tugalo Dam?

Tech...hmmm...oh yeah...it was nice installing these motors and making sure that I rotated them to a point where once they were installed I could still see the stickers! I know Eddie isn't a huge fan of putting them on his motors, but they look good!

Not as proud as the guy who built the motor though:)"thumbsup"

Twas built by a pro!:mrgreen::flipoff:

I know it's more of a long shot for Eddie, but Ted...you might get to see Monstergt drive his rig if I can ever convince him to go to ECC or Turkey Crawl or whatever event at LRC. You'll see really quick his background is in nitro racing...stopped...FULL THROTTLE...stopped (flipped). :lmao: He got with the best vendor on here for motors to suit his needs! 8)

I was referring to EddieOs berg:ror:. It took me a while to get rid of the "racer" throttle finger too. I've done plenty of front stands.

I've got the same problem with the throttle finger:flipoff:

Whats funny is I think on some gates, it helps as I just won't be a ***** and will just jump it:)

Well I made a few changes to better suit the narrow sedonas and got out and screwed around on my backyard pile. I had two extra 1/8" VP brass rings and I decided to cut them in half so I could run two of the halves on one side mounted on the bottom half of the knuckle weights. Then I swapped over to 350 hubs up front and 225's out back. Now...I'm running the wide hexes up front and I threw on a 1/16" delrin hub spacer on each side so I'm really running a 475 or something like that up front. I'll have to measure it at some point...but with this setup the wheels just BARELY clear the weights. Using these hubs made the rig look a lot better with the narrow tires, and I believe it worked a little better too. I was having issues with dragging the axles more when I ran them with the wide hubs I use on the Block tires. By narrowing them up it took some of that problem away. With the extra weight I was able to stay planted on some lines that I was having issues with before too.

With the two half rings added along with one 1/4" ring and one more 1/8" ring the total weight per side is 6.5oz!

I've got some short video clips uploading right now that I'll post in a few!

This is a fun little climb...big undercut...but the front just sucks down and pulls it over. Watch in 480!

Watch the slow speed control...its very nice!

Better hide those motors.....the HHK-S is the most wanted motor from me on the planet.....the 5 segments were the rage for a bit, but once people see these in actions, its all they want.....I still got the regular Type S in, but people want the extra oomph...
