After an Ascender, a Twin Hammers, a Sawback and a FreeMen (copy of SCX10.2), it was time to give a try to the prehistoric CC01 ...

Out of the box ... not a performer by any means ...

4 links on the rear with 3d printed brackets and some AX10 leftovers, a bit more steering angle (but still haven't change the steering mechanism), bearings all around, a 55T, the brick of course, better sliders and belly protection (3d printed), and then wheels and tires.

I'm not a fan of brand new trucks, neither rusted to death ... so I went mid-way for a beaten SUV that still has some life expected, with some dents and rust and cooked clearcoat. Not fan either of driver-less trucks so even if the tinted windows don't let see much, I've managed to make a basic interior with a young driver trying (without much luck) to impress his girlfriend.

Still not the best performer but way better than it was out of the box. Will see what it can do next time i'll go on a trail with friends.

Nice work on your first CC01! You did a great job on removing the block as well. Like you said, Tires are a necessity. "thumbsup" When you are ready to upgrade the steering, I have had really good luck with the Hot Racing replacement set-up. includes bearings and a center carbon fiber link. "thumbsup"
