Interest in Rally?

TC3 showed up today! It even has the rally front bumper on it already"thumbsup" Time to get some electronics on it!

Juan and I took the cars out at lunch today to do a shakedown run on his new car. He had a couple small issues with steering so it was a good thing we did.

Ty, I noticed in your Rally car build that you don't run a servo saver. Any problems with that? Chris and I noticed that my problems were coming from there, and I planned on just bolting a horn on.

Other than that, it seems ok...tight gear mesh that I will try to look into, but once the steering is fixed I'm ready "thumbsup"

Nope, no issues with it. I had issues with the servo saver when it was on there though, it was always coming apart for no reason. I figure there is enough steering linkage to deflect some of the force and with the metal gear servos I am using there are no issues.

Another issue that is pretty common with the DF03ra is rocks getting jammed in the steering linkage, check out my mod thread and add shrink wrap around the openings, it will save you a lot of headaches.

Is the tight gear mesh on the pinion/spur? Make sure all the screws holding the gear cases together are real tight, that can cause issues. And it goes without saying that you checked all the gears and anything that moves on the car before you ever drove it right?

Got my TC3 running! And discovered it had the Rally Conversion already! Sweet! Now I just need a 200mm body and I'm ready!

Damn that's a score!

I'll say! The guy said he bought it from a friend to run carpet, but he is a nitro guy and never ran it. It's in like new condition, and I only paid $100 for it! Damb nice score!

Rally practice course in the front yard.

The dust cover that I vacuum formed works great.

Looking forward to Saturday!

My girlfriend's Birthday is Friday, and we usually do something with her family, so I'm not sure what day I can make it.

This is why I keep my family back in Vermont!!

Seems like everybody is planning on Sat so I guess Sat it is. "thumbsup"

Yeah Saturday sounds good to me! I was planning it already.:ror:

I'm working 8am-8pm both days so I am out, someone else is going to have to spend .99cents on the bracket app.

Well damn, we will do it again soon anyway.

Who has a fancy phone that can get that app?

Just incase anyone missed it
