Interest in Rally?

I think if we say 1.9 wheels inside and outside bead both 1.9, with no additional trackwitdh would be fine for the wheels.

I can go either way on tires, I kinda like requiring stock uncut tires only because then EVERYONE is on level ground as far as traction. But I can also see the argument to add different tires.

I hate you Jason!

Oh yeah, I hate you Jason!

I figured it would wind up here in Colorado. I wouldn't have minded picking it up, just didn't have the cash.

Between the three of us, Jason is the only one that makes that car look good on the track. :ror:

Haha, I wish.

Its not your fault you lost to a [HOONIGAN] it happens to everyone.

I gotta get me and my team some [HILLBILIGAN] stickers made up.

Thats a nice looking rig.

what motor esc do you plan on running

It comes with the Tamiya stock motor and Axial AE-2 esc, so I'll run them for now. I can steal a receiver from my original MRC and be running as soon as it shows up. I definitely want to run the Mercedes body though.

I didn't really either, but I like having my own vehicle. I never really look through the classifieds, and would have probably never seen it if you hadn't posted the link. I hate you now, but will probably be thanking you later...you can take it for a spin at the next event.

So what's the best Rally Sim for the PC? Not the arcade type of racing, but real driving simulator. Richard Burns Rally looks fantastic...any others?

Very Nice Gary! Taking orders?:ror:Wait I need a Rally car first.:shock::mrgreen: I'm looking at the TC-3 or 4 and also a XXX-S.

I remember when those came out. I wanted one so bad cuz I was racing touring cars then. I'd still like to get one. "thumbsup"

Yep really liked mine! I started racing touring with a RS4 Sport, then to a RS4 ProII, to a MI-1, then a XXX-S G+ for mod and a YOKOMO MR4TC SG for stock, to JRXS, then a JRXS-R and then just recently bought and then sold a FT TC-5R:roll:. Really like the TC3 since it's easy to convert to a rally car, but the XXX-S would be a good option with the sealed drivetrain. Plus parts are still pretty easy to get for both. E-Team Hobbies in Fort Collins carries a bunch of touring car stuff."thumbsup"

It looks like tower has the shock tower, the rear arms, and the inner cv's.

It wouldn't be hard to make tierods, and upper arms, but you are still missing the front lower arms.

Shit, that list looks like the one to convert the 4-Tec to rally.

4-TEC Rally Conversion guide - Ultimate Traxxas

No need to go 200mm though, I kept mine at 190mm even though I have the 200mm parts.
All you need to do is get creative with shocks and possibly upper shock mounts.

All I did to mine was put the rear shocks on the front, make a front upper shock mount from aluminum angle, put some 66mm shocks on the rear, and make the chassis skid.

EDIT: The rear shocks I used were HPI #A721. But they are discontinued now.
