Interest in Rally?

Nope, they wouldn't. But you'd kick my ass!!! :ror:

I'll place the order today then.

You sallies better start getting worried, the Storm Trooper is almost ready to do battle.

It looks so...so...generic. Like it should say "truck" on the side.

edit: Did you warm the stickers up or just pull them off? I usually use a hair dryer for stickers so there is no goo left behind, but don't want to warp anything.

I got some more just need to find the time to edit them.

For someone that wanted to be Team Yokohama with Rodney, you sure did a bang up job of taking him out.:ror:

I guess there's no "teamates" when you're racing......... I will be looking for a grudge race with Juan on Saturday;-)

When the stickers came off, so did the kid gloves

And I want a Grudge Match with every single one of you who passed me in the free for all Trophy Heat....so that means pretty much all of you!

Especially Jeff who lapped me in the Rally heat with only 2 wheel drive.

And I think I know what Jason has planned with the all white truck 8)

I let the body sit in the boiler room at work for an hour, then peeled them off. It still ended up leaving some of the goo behind so I used rubbing alcohol to get it all off.

What time are you planning on starting and finishing saturday? I may be able to make it depending on when the fam thing starts

Found out the the Trophy Truck will not be here in time for this weekend.
Still looking forward to this weekend though, way too much fun!

I'm planning on a little practice/tune session tomorrow (wednesday) around 10ish if anyone has the day off and wants to meet up. Can't make it saturday though, damn retail job!

Probably just do a 10am start again. I think we finished between 1 and 2 last Saturday, but a few of us stayed til 3 messing around.

Never know with the finish though, it depends how many come out.

What kind of shipping did you get? Sherpa express?

A lot of people we talking about this thread at last night's sporty comp...wouldn't be surprised if more people started showing interest.

I was talking to Rodney last night, and like I told him I'm out for Saturday. I have to take advantage of the nice weather to finish getting the house ready for winter. Without any help from my girlfriend, I'm on my own.

Just a little info on the Trophy Trucks.

I was looking at motors to replace my stocker before it dies so I was curious what the KV of the 15T Fireball is. So I pulled the motor hooked it up to my cordless drill, and hooked up a volt meter.

Here is what I came up with for KV of some motors I had laying around.

<table style="width: 490px; height: 144px;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><col style="mso-width-source:userset;mso-width-alt:5449;width:112pt" width="149"> <col style="mso-width-source:userset;mso-width-alt:3254; width:67pt" span="3" width="89"> <tbody><tr style="height:13.5pt" height="18"> <td class="xl74" style="height:13.5pt;width:112pt" height="18" width="149"> </td> <td class="xl69" style="border-left:none;width:67pt" width="89">RPM</td> <td class="xl67" style="width:67pt" width="89">Volts</td> <td class="xl68" style="width:67pt" width="89">KV</td> </tr> <tr style="height:12.75pt" height="17"> <td class="xl71" style="height:12.75pt" height="17">HPI Fireball 15T</td> <td class="xl72">1400</td> <td class="xl72">0.32</td> <td class="xl73">4375</td> </tr> <tr style="height:12.75pt" height="17"> <td class="xl66" style="height:12.75pt" height="17">SpeedGem 16Tx2</td> <td class="xl65">1400</td> <td class="xl65">0.34</td> <td class="xl70">4118</td> </tr> <tr style="height:12.75pt" height="17"> <td class="xl71" style="height:12.75pt" height="17">HHH Torquemaster 35T</td> <td class="xl72">1400</td> <td class="xl72">0.92</td> <td class="xl73">1522</td> </tr> <tr style="height:12.75pt" height="17"> <td class="xl66" style="height:12.75pt" height="17">Titan 12T</td> <td class="xl65">1400</td> <td class="xl65">0.4</td> <td class="xl70">3500</td> </tr> <tr style="height:12.75pt" height="17"> <td class="xl71" style="height:12.75pt" height="17">Mag Mayhem</td> <td class="xl72">1400</td> <td class="xl72">0.6</td> <td class="xl73">2333</td> </tr> <tr style="height:12.75pt" height="17"> <td class="xl66" style="height:12.75pt" height="17">Proboat 550</td> <td class="xl65">1400</td> <td class="xl65">0.43</td> <td class="xl70">3256</td> </tr> </tbody></table>
The KV I measured for the Holmes 35T Handwound is super close to what JRH specs it at (1565 KV) so these numbers are reasonably accurate. THis should help those who are going motor shopping.

Eventually I will run mine on 3S but I will choose a low KV motor that will keep the same speed as stock on 2S.

I thought we could only run 2s? I just ordered 4 2s packs...

I put a motor in mine, the Venom 15x2, and drove it around in the backyard for a minute. I geared it stock (18t) and the motor gets real hot, I brought it inside and just ran the motor for a bit with no load, a couple times it gave me a little puff of smoke.

Turkey day is tomorrow, I work 14hours on friday, and saturday is the race, I'm not feeling real optimistic about this motor lasting at all.
