Info...get it here

so there is one major manufacturer coming out with a crawler for the masses... what are the next three new items that are coming out??
I for one am super excited about the FJ... Now to see If I can go sell enough plasma to get one!"thumbsup""thumbsup"

If I had a nickel for every mounting hole in that chassis... Looks very tuneable! And to think just last week I dropped the coin for a Skynet FJ40V coming from the other side of the world. I better start practicing my line... "Um, honey, can I have another FJ40?"

I'm deefinetly getting one of these as soon as they are available...I love Tamiya and have for around 20 years. This is just another great addition to their already impressive line-up. "thumbsup"

This thing looks great! I'll be getting one for sure.

Any word on whether or not it comes with bearings? I assume it doesn't since they're not listed in the features list on Tamiya's site, but maybe they just forgot to list them? Either way the truck looks great. :D

Hopefully they will produce this in bigger numbers than the TLT,making it easy to get
When the TLT came out, my LHS had around 20 of them. Before they were being turned into crawlers, my LHS couldn't give them away. Heck, I paid less than $50 for my first one on clearance. Then crawling got big and TLT's couldn't stay on the shelf. "thumbsup"

Atleast your LHS carries Tamiya in stock. I'm hard pressed to see a Tamiya touring car let alone a highlift. An occasional Clod pops up every once in a while though.

The tires look rock hard in that video.
You might be right, but my guess is that at least part of the problem is a poor foam setup. I'm guessing they're running uncut foams, which will make any tire look rock hard. I do agree that those tires sure don't look like they're going to be the next Claws though...they might be alright with a decent foam setup and some weight in them, but they're not Claws.

Yeah, I also thought the foams looked a little full. Maybe some Ace Doughnuts or Losi foams would be better.

I want one to throw a new hilux body on"thumbsup", way nicer chassis than the re badged hilift chassis, and we all know the toyota hard body it cooler:shock:;-)

Nice! Beefed up axles, clockable C's, decent tires, and a freakin sweet body. Looks like this one will be fairly capable in stock form. Good job tamiya!

Its listed on the Tower Hobbies site now for $424.99. That seems pretty high to me - but typical for a Tamiya.

Remember the new Emaxx? It was listed on Tower for 6XX something? Thats just the MSRP. It will come down to about 270 probably.

I hope you are correct - it looks like a GREAT truck, the price scared me a bit though! ha ha

I have had a few tamiya cars before, just through trades and there cars were not up to spec with other cars at all, lots of slop, but key hop ups were cheap, plus the price of replacement parts were cheap as well. But the price tag of over 200 or whatever for a roller with a motor thats going to get replaced anyway really puts a damper on things, considering the success of the ax-10, for the price its going to come out at you can scale an ax10 to something you like that from what i see will be worth a little more for what it is worth. plus no mention of what parts are metal or pearings yet? I would only seriously consider it if it was around 169 to maybe 200, but it is a tamiya and it will probably be out of production in 2 years and fetch a pretty high price on ebay.
