IFS kit for Wraith

Looks good guys.. ! I like the trx idea of using proven parts and the mounting of the winch.. Only problem for me is, I have to find a donor wraith.... just to use this. Ordering now.

Looks very well thought out. Now address the front axles. The stock exo stuff isn't up to the task.

yep !!
the front locker will be the big issue for everyone.
as far as i know - there is not a locker being manufactured for the EXO yet !!
had to make mine.

one of our Rcc Vendor/locker manufacturers need to address this problem "thumbsup"

so far the MIP hybrids drive shafts have worked great on mine,
didn't even try the stock dog bones !

The locker for the Wraith works in the Exo diff case. (Axial Heavy Duty Differential Locker [AXI30500]) Just have to watch the drive cups because there is no way to put the e-clips on.

Nice looking kit guys!! "thumbsup"

For the front locker, go old school and fill that diff with JB Weld. That is what I did to my Wrexo conversion. 8)

Yup check my build thread.. A vendor with skillz can make the required thru shaft so everyone can take advantage of the mip's. I used 1/4" chromo. A one piece locker with 6mm outputs would be sweet..

all the parts on the spreadsheet would cost $252.05 +shipping maybe. thats not counting the cvd dogbone optional set.

as my point before !
about the same $$ either way - stock EXO vers some stock/aftermarket parts ??

you can go the EXO kit way & just use the front end off of it,
But then U have a half of exo to try to use or sale off afterwards!

or take $$ that you would spend for a exo kit,
and use it for the needed stock parts & HD aftermarket products & have a killer rig !!

"IFS rigs are not cheap to build" ( the RIGHT way !! )

& you can't be too shy about spending $$ if you want a good working & dependable IFS rig !!

in my experience so far - with these rigs !

well I can;t see taking parts out to replace with better parts being the same price. I think in the end that way will cost you even more, but I think your right about it beign needed to do it right.

you may not NEED to buy everythign on that list either. BMRC had what seams like must be everything, right down to the axial stock screws needed(would never put them on a rig willingly).

in my case the exo kit might be the way to go because IF I did it I'd want the exo cage, or a mix of the two. I don;'t have the money to do it right, maybe in a few years if axial doesn't come out with a IFS rig. for now I'll keep trying to get my scx-10 set up the right way.

"thumbsup""thumbsup"...Very nice!!

Let the rebuild begin, after the 14th of Sept that is....bahhhhh ;-)

I thought about this but I used the 2 spider gears from the rear wedge on the opposite sides of the gears so theres a gear on all sides and it locks it up...ran it today for a test and tune did great now to up the power..ol jb might be in the future lol......and agreeing with dmg these are not cheap to build even if you save a few hrs with this bmrc kit theres still a lot of tuning to be done and these aren't for the faint of heart to build yall all know what I mean lol

Locking the diff is the easy part. Finding shafts that will withstand big power, locked diff and sticky 2.2 tires is the challenge.

I can't get that spreadsheet to open, any suggestions? Says file type not supported..

Edit: had to dL an Excel viewer

How bout an Ifs kit for us scx guys?!

funny you should mention. i'm working on this. i recently had horrible experience openly developing products for the VTH guys so i'll be working on this and product testing in private.

i'm not currently in a position to offer an estimated delivery date, estimated price or any other details.
