I got some SWEET 1.9 by 5.0 Super Swampers on the way and I need a servo to push those BIG MEATS around. I would like to stay under $100.00 bucks if possible. I don't know much of anything about servo's so any helpful advise or tips would be great. This will be going on my Honcho which I abuse without mercy8)

I've been reading and hearing great things about the Savox servos, but I have to say that my Hi Tec 5955TG and 7955TG servos never let me down...ever.

I second the hitec's. Shop the rctech classifieds and get a better servo for less money than new. The 1/8th scale racers use pretty beefy servos for their buggies, but they don't see the kind of abuse crawlers do so even the used ones are pretty fresh. Most don't run at the higher voltages we do either, which adds to their longevity.

I've be running the hobbico CS-170 for a year and a half now with no problems. I direct wired it to my bec to lower the heat it puts out.

Im running a Hitec 7954. Havent had a problem out of it. I found it selling new for $80 with free shipping. Just not a vender on here.

Thanks Guys, Red Rider, I added yours to the list of possibillity's "thumbsup" Still thinking about it, Hopefully we will get a good servo link thread if nothing else"thumbsup"

i run a 7954 in my bully at 7.0v at there the cast axles and i weight 7 1/2 pounds and it will turn with no problem and i dont have to worry about the gears

I've had a Hitec 7954SH in my AX-10 for over a year of superb performance running straight off of a 2s Lipo. Paid about a hundred bucks, and it has been worth every penny. Mud, snow, massive rock fields, and this thing never misses a beat.

I've also had great luck with a Savox 1258 in my Blitz, it is super fast and very precise. I would trust a Savox servo any day.

the 7954SH is a solid servo it is great for the money, I also found mine for about $80 shipped, I ran one in my sportsman AX10 up untill I sold it and I kept the servo for another build it's a great servo. I also ran one in my XR10 for a few months and only recently upgraded to a 7950, i'd defenatly go with a servo that is not turnigy, i've had good luck with hitec, and savox servo's are leaving a good impression too.
in a crawler, I wouldn't even consider less then 300 oz-in, (unless its a scaler, then that much power really isn't needed, but i'd still probably go with a 7954)

They are nothing special but the Savox 0251mg is a great servo. Especially for the price. They have no problem turning my 2.2 RC4WD rock crushers or tossing my overweight high lift around. Unless you really want the higher end servos you could get a 0251 and put the saved money towards something else.

i've got the Savox 1256 tg. I used it in my TTC truck, now i'm using it in my Foff rig and i have been very pleased with it"thumbsup"
