When I get a little larger work space, I think I'll get one of those to cut my Carbon Fiber links and other small materials.

I have one. Its not really the greatest at cutting, though. I found it works good with wooden dowel less than 1/2" in diameter. I tried cutting some 3/32 threaded rod and it didn't do the greatest job. It made the cut after 5 minutes, but it was a very unclean cut, all jagged. Even a dull hack saw is definatly faster and cleaner.

If you replace the blade that comes with it with one of these
you will see a big improvement in the cutting of metal.The blade
it comes woth is not very good for cutting metal.
And I installed a 3" not a 4".

I have that one and think it works great. But be carefull when cutting smaller lengths of small material it'll shoot it across the room and you'll never find it. You really don't need much space for it. My area is a little cramped and it works well.

Picked one of these up today.

Have some crap to build, we'll see how it works.

They offered me a 15 month replacement plan for $5 more.

Anybody have this? For $30, it could either be a handy tool or a complete POS. I hate having to use my 14" chop saw for cutting small bits of metal accurately, and dremel doesn't really do the job fast enough.

Make perfect cuts in steel, brass, aluminum, and wood in 1/10th the time it takes by hand. So accurate that you may never have to file or sand ends.
