GT3B Hack Question and Answer Thread

Is there a way to use a plane/heli esc with this remote? I have a gt3-c flashed for my wraith but I just got an air boat which I'm trying to get going.
When I turn it all on it starts at half throttle. I need to go full reverse to stop the blades.
Any help would be great.

	    - for dual-ESC steering (boat, tank, ...) select DIG channel 1 and
	    with steering D/R reduce required ESC travel (at 100% it will go to
	    contra to allow steering at place)
	> press ENTER and set mix in range -100...0...100 %
	    0%   is default and means both channels have same max steering/throttle
	    100% means 100% reduce on rear steering/throttle (eg. no steering)
	    -100% means 100% reduce on front steering/throttle (eg. no steering)
	> for 4WS press ENTER and select crab (CR1) or no-crab (CR0)
      for Multi-Position:
	> there are 4 Multi-Positions identified by numbers 1..4, they have
	    8/6/4/4 positions
	> press ENTER and choose channel for this function or OFF
	    - channel can be "D" also, which means map to DIG function
	> press ENTER and set channel value for first position
	> press ENTER and set channel value for second position or END

So this is the error I'm getting. I think this computer is running windows 11. Had no issues with last time I downloaded it all.

Follow the installation manual step for step, word for word, letter for letter. You're doing stuff in the wrong order.
 
I tried doing the brake cut-off but in the final step it doesn't let me choose a channel, which doesn't really matter.
What happens is when you turn the esc on it beeps until you hold the throttle full on. The esc beeps again then it starts at half speed until you pull the trigger full on then it stops.
If I do the brake cut-off it starts at full throttle, so the range is halved I guess.
If I reverse the channel it almost stops the motor when the trigger is in the neutral position.
I think it might be time to get rid of that esc and get a different one. Lol.

No, it won't ask you what channel. There is only one throttle channel.

a.) make sure your radio is calibrated
b.) reverse the channel. You want it stopped at neutral position
c.) make sure your esc is calibrated

If it's still not quite stopped at neutral position, I bet trying to trim it will work. Might have to increase the epa though on the "stop" side. If still, we can try and open up the deadzone for the throttle.

:lmao: I did it 31 times in the same order I always have per your instructions on about 5 radios so far. I'll see when I have a couple more hrs to kill and try some more I guess. Files all were wiped from computer so it required me to re download everything this time. Maybe I'll delete and re download all files again next time. "thumbsup"
 
The key thing is to make sure everything is connected before you open stvp. And make sure the 4 pin wires are in the correct orientation.

Also, make sure the patch is installed and you restarted the computer.

And I don't know if stvp works with windows 10.

Yea the first 2 times I realized the plug was up side down vs the gt3b.

I think it's running windows 11? Donno..... not my computer. Mine finally crashed so borrowing another. Worked last time withou the patch I believe. You got the patch on your page austin?

Also side note . ...... I need to pick up a strip of those 90 header pins for the gt3c.like 40 or so pins.

There's no such thing as windows 11, Windows 10 just came out...

And yes you need the patch unless you're running windows xp. The link is in the install instructions.

My website will be going live again here soon. Still debating if which website I want to go live with though because my new one is costing me a fortune and its not even running (I'm just too lazy to get it done)
 
i'm trying to use a gt3b to run rc4d dig on moa with single esc. its either front or rear locked with no unlock to just normal drive?

i aplogize this has prob been asked and answered among the 100+ pages i just cant find. i also have a gt3c that has been hacked i got from bbolden on here. so with the board and cables i'm assuming i would only need a plug in order to hack the 3b? actually would need 2 if i'm going to try this i have 2 gt3b might as well do both.
last question with hack and a single esc will i be able to set more or less dig front and rear? such as make rear go into a neutral state instead of locked or powered while front is still full go?

You need 2 esc to run dig...... or 1 esc with punk dig unit.
 
Hey guys, I'm in the process of transferring to a new website. As soon as I get afew things done and a ssl certificate issued and installed I'll go live with the new site. I'll start taking orders on all the GT3B/GT3C mods and GT3C's again. Also considering offering GT3B's again, but they'll be more expensive than the 3C because I'm a #$%& and tired of modding them, so it's gonna cost more to get one already modded. GT3C for the win! Unless someone can give me a good reason the 3B is better than the 3C, then I don't really feel like offering it at a reasonable cost.

The website is not as complete as I want it to be, but I'm not very good at making progress unless something needs to be done. So I'm going to go live so I have more motivation to finish it. So it's going to be very generic looking for a while and the knowledge base is still very much incomplete but hopefully complete soon.
 
So 12 dead duracells and 2 hours of fumbling in front of a camera. I think I have enough video footage to post a YouTube video on how to flash the flysky GT3C.

It'll probably be abit long winded, because I wanted detailed and I was trying to do everything while watching the camera screen and that is very HARD
