GoPro Hero 3

I know there are a bunch of guys who have the GoPro's and some who have the Hero2 and Hero3.

I am looking to add another camera to my arsenal of video gear and have been looking at the hero 3 black edition since it has 60fps which the other versions don't.

So who has bought one and are you happy with it?

I have the silver Hero 3 and it's awesome! HOWEVER, I just scratched the lens (who knew that a wooden table is harder than a glass lens). Be careful when you charge these things (if you do so out of the case). It's going to cost me $150 to get the lens replaced....:roll:

Have you filmed in 720 and played with slow motion Jeremy?

My current camera only has 30fps so I have to manipulate the footage to get good quality slow motion and why I really like the fact with the black you can film in 1080 at 60fps..

BTW, the wifi on this is cool as shit. You can download an app to your smart phone and control and preview the shot and camera settings....which is helpful since these cameras do not have a viewing screen.

Ya I have watched a few reviews on the new units and pretty cool technology and the black edition comes with a remote for those of us who have old skool flip phones,lol...

Oh yeah, I forgot that the remote comes with the black version. I really dig the phone app.

I will probably load the file to DropBox and then share it with you (to that email address). You'll get an email telling you how to download it. I will get that done sometime this evening.

Ive got a hero 3 silver. The slow motion is very nice. Very smooth too. My kids I dropped it in our aquarium. Very cool footage of all the fish fighting and what not.

Thought so. Love mine, too! What sucks is they released the 32GB one about 3 weeks after I bought my 16GB....for $250. I've considered getting a 32GB and giving the 16 to my wife, but haven't jumped yet. She wants one for looking up recipies, E-News, etc., but isn't sure how much she'd use it.

How well does the GoPro app work with it? I'm not one of the cool kids with a new Hero 3. I have a Hero 2 w/ dive housing and wi-fi backpack.

Yeah, I started looking for replacements and found the case replacements at first and thought "sweet, this is nice and cheap"....until I realized it was not the part I needed.

1) Give it to her. She'll never use 16gig worth of chit.
2) App works just fine and more updates comin'.
3) Got a Hero1 and Hero2. Still like to use them too. Just depends what you're trying to do.
4) You can always load up you PC hard drive with stuff.
5) Keep it and do the math. They all do the job.
