GoPro Hero 3

Got a black for Christmas, first recording was fine but has corrupted every sd card since. Any ideas?

So those of you who have them what "extra's" have you found useful?
For you and your awesome driving skills, something to get vids of "In the chit", mounts would be a good investment. Before long you will find you have a bucket full of the small mounts and swivels.
Suction cup mount for windshield and body panel mounting.
Rollbar mount.
Handlebar mount.
Headstrap belt mount.
Helment mounts which you get plenty of soon enough. Flat one's and one's with curviture.(Like you wear a safety helmet):lmao:
Depending on which edition you purchase, the WiFi remote is good, depending on your predicament. My smartphone and tablet work very well.
Protective camera case's are good, but you will accumilate plenty of those too.

BATTERIES. BATTERIES. BATTERIES, w/charger. Both for 12V and 120V
64GB Micro SD XC Class 10 card. "XC" is important for HD.

Pelican or simular carry case with foam precut already to fit GoPro stuff. Amazon and EBay have all kinds of goodies.

The list goes on. It's like RC, ton's of options.

Ya should see the backpack bag the wife got me for x-mass--badass...

So like the SD cards for HD stuff is it the same for the micro cards I take it..

The mounts I was going to get a couple to start and go from there..

As for the batteries I heard there are a couple different types?

When transporting your camera keep it in it's housing in a felt bag. I like a Chavis Regal bag , so as not to scratch housing or camera lens.

Same for micro cards.

Mounts, let me tell you about mounts. Check my ad in classifieds. :lmao:

Hero 1 & 2 do NOT use same batts as White, Silver, and Black Editions.

The newer versions use MicroSD cards. IIRC, the one I got was $25 and will hold 5.5 hours of video...."thumbsup"
Depending on the resolution quality of vid you want, depends on recording time attainable. High res = less batt time. A good XC Micro 64GB card right now runs about $60.

i have the hero 2 and will most likly get a black 3 sometime unless rumors of the gopro matrix become more frequent.

the one thing the black edition does that i want is it will record video and capture still photos at the same time.

lense can be replaced for about 80 bucks i think. do alittle research before dropping 150 to have it replaced. there are also after market lenses on the market or hopefully will be soon. most likly the scratch isnt effecting video or photo.

those who have black editions id like to see some photos shot with them. the 3 is suposed to have less of the fishey look. i think its awesome we can record in 1080 narrow to get rid of fish eye but would like to do the the same with photos

each time out i record a dud vid to make sure the camera formats the card . sometimes thats first time will freeze up. ive started to always shoots a short vid stop it then record. ive been pissed off more then ounce when i finished what i was doing and the goprp didnt record it

gota have this for decent sound. this is the klone and cost 8 bucks i think. the real ones 50 or so
