Gettin' Southern Showdown! ~OCOEE WHITE WATER CENTER~

We weren't but, looking at it, the rock would hold an event like this, buuuut, the parking will not, not even if we car pooled and squeezed in real tight, unfortunately

Don't be sorry Colby, this is totally out of your hands...just like terrible weather.

Every place I think of as an alternative is at least 1.5-2+hrs away from Ocoee. I guess we can hope they re-open the government this week but don't want to bank on it.

Ugh. :x

To bad it has to be down there cause we have a awesome comp spot here in ohio that will accommodate all of us . Almost 2 miles of rocks with crazy transitions plus a ton of stuff to do downtown cleveland and plenty hotels also

Colby... Try to contact this place. Site of the first southern showdown.

Address
35 Pitts Gap Road
Graysville
TN

It's called kizzars. 2006shelby on rcc knows him I think. Sddill may still have the number too. I think hobby land rented the place for the day for fifty bucks.

Ok so blast away but I think a date change would be easier than a location change,

How would he know when to change the date to, nobody knows when shit will open back up. It's a shitty situation all together, nobody here can be blamed for what's happened, and I have no idea what the solution is, but whatever is done wont make everyone happy, is what it is at this point.

I was at the site of the first southern cup and did not like it very much. Rock was very dusty and theres alot of dust (ya know, cuz real buggies run on it) however will give em a ring tomorrow and see whatsup. Expect a poll tuesday with a few options and PLEASE let everyone know. Tuesday evening i want everyone to give me their input. Instead of tale tale he said she said stuff i want to know exactly what the majority wants but cant answer every PM asking me what were going to do. You guys will vote on a location and that is where it will be. Ive already learned alot of lessons from this comp. i hope that this all doesnt affect your inputs as far as next year goes. I received alot of swag and stuff in the mail while i was gone, will post up tomorrow ;)

I also wanted to add; For Colby to have this type of problem thrust upon him and to handle it in a way that has always kept our best interests in mind, I feel that a huge thank you needs to go out to Colby. Thank You little buddy for all your hard work in bringing us this event, it has not been easy I know...

It's been my experience that this ain't the first nor the last time we get screwed by the government. Some of us took our last days of vacation to attend this event. Sure hope things work out. Hang in there Colby, we got your back.

Exactly why a date change shouldn't be an option. Although the location may not be everyone's first choice, at least the comp will be held as scheduled "thumbsup"

Ryan,

I can understand your opinion but I would rather have the comp in a great location and have it done right then have something done on the date and it not work. Really there is no good solution here...... The locals have been working hard for a solution but we have nothing that will solve all the issues.

C'mon, don't keep us waitin in suspense

OKAY!!!

Cherokee Rock Village, Leesburg Alabama

It is now $3 per vehicle to enter the park!!!! AND IT IS OPEN!

The pavillion is now built, theres now an attendant, and the park is much nicer. However, they are still developing bathrooms!! Porta poties are still there but we are being welcomed to LRC with open arms from Scooter and the city. Be sure to thank them when you arrive "thumbsup"

LODGING Information will be posted as soon as I have the GSS Rate "thumbsup"

The starting rate with tax was $69 a night. The lady said shed call me right back when the owner got in after explaining the issues with the government and venue change. They are going to help us out as much as they can!

THANK YOU! To everyone for riding this out and bearing with me with this governemnt issue. I really appreciate each and every one of you for the support not only youve given me but supporting the event itself. Im also very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, but you will NOT be dissapointed thanks to the amazing vendors that are supporting this comp! It doesnt matter where its at, time to throw down!
