Gearhead Roof Rack + VP Light Bar?

Anyone know or have tried the Gearhead Roof Rack (w/ light bar mount) combined with a Vanquish 4" light bar? It should fit size wise, but not sure if the mounting would be compatible or if I would need to come up with a custom bracket or something.

Gear Head RC 1/10 Scale Bomber Slim Line Roof Rack with Light Bar Mount

Vanquish Products RIGID INDUSTRIES 4" LED Light bar Black

I want to run the light bar off my 3s lipo and the gearhead light bar doesn't support that.

I want the roof rack mount for protection of the light bar because this is going on my 6 year olds bomber....who seems to break his bomber every time we take it out. If the light bar is sticking out of the roof, I don't see it lasting very long.

If it doesn't line up just drill a couple holes. The rack is just plastic. Get the one without the mount and use the rigid mounts instead.

Its worth noting that when it says it has a light bar mount, they mean the brow over the windscreen, you still have to buy the angle bracket mounts & screws separately.

Also note the GearHead bar it's designed for they say is 4.19" across the mounting ears, VP say their bar is 4.6" wide

Looking at the RPP GH pic you can see the brackets are inside the GH light bar

Which means the 2 angle brackets are probably about 3.86" apart, a fair way from fitting a VP 4" bar, but pretty close to fitting a VP 3" bar (3/6" wide)

It's not exactly answering your question but the GearHead light bar is extremely bright on 6v via the rx (assuming you've any rx left to plug into of course)
I've got a pic a somewhere that i can't find right now, of mine lighting up a door at the end of the hall 20ft away

I have this setup on my yeti and the 4" vp fits nicely, just had to drill mounting holes. I replaced the plastic spacers that go between the rack and the roof with aluminum, and if i remember correctly i put slightly longer ones in the front to give me a bit more clearance. I'm sure it would fit just as well on a bomber.

Yeah re-drilling for the wider bar would work, I was just noting it didn't look like it would drop straight on.

Good catch on those dimensions. Would love to see a photo of your setup.

On mine I've got the Axial 5 bucket frame with the GH 4" bar fitted in it.
It had been on my Wraith which is the only pics I've got.

Found the pic of it lighting the hall, that was full darkness, night time, no other lights on

Sorry to jump in here guys but this is one nice setup, is that bar in the bumper the vanquish 1"? If that will work on the bomber ill ditch the winch idea and put the same light bar on it instead. Again looks sweet "thumbsup"

Thanks and yes its the VP 1" installed on a Wertymade steel bumper. But i'm sure it could work on the stock bumper if you made a plate that bolts to the tabs on it.
