G-FORCE RC4WD Scale Build off entry "ST8OFKANVAS"

Made some decent progress this weekend. The "Kanvas" top is making me scratch my head a little but I think I have arrived at a solution. I want a Kanvas top for sure but at the same time I want it to be a everyday truck and take a rollover. Wiil see how it turns out. Progress is displayed in the following photos.

It looks like you are making a hard top. Why not just cover that with canvas? (Kansas pun left out)

As stated above I want the durability of a hard roof as I want to use this body. So I WILL have a canvas top and a hard top. Stay tuned you will see. Thats why the top looks so crude as it is because it will be covered.
Thanks for your interest.

All of the major body parts are dry fitted and now gluing up. This first styrene build has beenquite a task already thinking how I would do this or that different next time.

The chassis that I am using in the photos is for reference only. I blended the two vehicles in this build. Grill and hood from the Kaiser. Bed and doors from the Nukizer. Roof and windshield blended from both. Speaking of the windshield I just couldn't let that be the lone piece that I didn't make so I scrapped the Dingo windshield.

nice build man. look similar to my build of the m-715 linked in my signature. i look forward to trading ideas with you on this build.

Looks better than I thought. Nice work man. I would love comparison pics next to a honcho or something if you could. I want to build an M37. Glad you 86'd the dingo windshield.

I'm liking the way this is turning out , great job thus far.

Thanks. Its just roughed out now. I have only a few places that I have started smoothing out.

Looks awesome!

Thank you Sir!

G-Force.

Nice job....really looks good. "thumbsup" I think a rag top would of put it over the top. Just put in a simple cage inside for a roll over

I agree with you. Your not the first to bust my balls about the rag top. I will cover the existing top I have and it will "look" correct to those that don't know how it is constructed.
I have purposely left the top removable as a unit so if time allows I still have the luxury of building a true ragtop. It may very well happen.......but im up against the clock.

Thanks for your input. I truly appreciate it.
