Funny Pictures

i was gonna post this in "Cool" thread, but seems relatable to the smart car wreck above.

Traveling 186MPH on the autobahn through a left-hand turn, apparently, I ran over something. The right front tire went flat immediately.
I was able to maintain control until the tire came off the rim. At that point, hard left into the Armco where most of the front body work came off and into the opposite lanes.
We continued to spin and bounce between Armco on the right and left of the autobahn.
As depicted in the photos, everything was gone in the front except the engine. The front of the car was sitting on the oil pan. As designed, energy dissipation. Our structural engineers are second to none.
My co-worker and best friend and I looked at each other, ensured each other was OK, ๐›๐จ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐!
Naturally, yours truly had none of the correct paperwork. They had us in the police car ready to take us away, when our German liaison showed up. This man is one of my personal heroes. He worked his magic, performed the German handshake, walked over to us and said, โ€œyou and you, into my car, we go now before they change their minds!โ€ Honestly, that was not the first time or last time he kept me out of troubleโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ
I was a bit worried about my buddy reflecting over this for at least 8 months until we returned to Germany. So, the next day, I grabbed another Z06, told him to get in the car. We headed back to the same autobahn, same turn, 190 MPH, problem resolvedโ€ฆโ€ฆ
We had no cell phones with cameras back then, the photos are courtesy of a good Samaritan who stopped to see if we were OK. As fate would have it, he was an American. Go figure......

Well if you compare that Smart crash with that of the dodge charger we have seen, then you will find that the smart pretty much have a intact passenger space, where as the old Dodge you have the engine in your lap even if you was seated on the back seat.

My own little Suzuki car are only 3-4 foot longer than a smart, just enough to be a mini and not micro car.

Not to mention that this car hit a barracade at an angle running better that 65mph, if not more than 70. IIRC, it wouldn't be survivable for occupants, but should at least allow for an open casket.

I feel dumb but I don't understand this.

Itโ€™s a Dodge Challenger, which is a large, heavy, powerful muscle car... mine is a โ€œwidebodyโ€ so itโ€™s extra large.

People refer to them as boats because they are so big and heavy. Lolol

Ok that's what I was thinking but thought there might be an inside joke with it. Sweet car too

Challengers just recently outsold Camaros too. Maybe this will be a wake-up call for GM to stop transforming the Camaro into a Cobalt.

Referring to that Corvette crash:
This is what a C5 looked like at 180mph on the Autobahn back in 2000 - steady and smooth enough to snap a pic (yes, we went past the 300 later too).
That's what it is really made for and a blown tire is the ONLY thing you need to fear.

I did 150 in my hopped up mk4 Jetta. Had just a couple more RPMs left before the red and wasnโ€™t my brightest moment either. No pics though.

Not what itโ€™s made for...
