That was made by a Ford guy. Chevy blatantly copied the Ford styling with the new HD truck yet Ford guys are bashing it everywhere. It's hilarious.

Given the actual collaborations between the two companies lately, that likely is not far from the truth. The 10-speed transmission in my F-150 is the product of a joint venture by Ford and Chevy. I shopped for a year and a half before I bought my Ford, drive all brands, researched all specifications for all brands, in the end, I got the truck that suited my needs the best; if not meeting my needs with a little overkill, it is highly unlikely I will ever two 13k with my truck, but it is nice to know the specifications say I can.

As far as truck-bashing goes, it makes about as much sense as cell phone bashing. If you don't like what I have, then don't buy one for yourself. If you like what you do have, hurray for you, I really don't care. People go all liberal over this topic and their little snowflakes all melty over it.

It's been that way since the start of the company's and its not going away anytime soon. Im sure this will keep going for days on here.

This is the one everyone is making fun of. I'm not brand biased but in my opinion this is Fugly.
It looks like a hodge podge of Ford Chevy and Toyota.

^^I couldn't agree more. I hate the square fender wells for sure. They've all went to that though. I guess you just pick which one looks best at this point. Is there any advantage to it though? Like tire clearance when turning maybe with oversize tires possibly since it gives a bit more room in front and back vs. a round fender well? Just trying to think outside the box(y) fender wells here).

Yeah, that front end is terrible. I still don't see the Ford resemblance to the F250 line though, which is the direct competitor. Other than the name in huge letters as Tim mentioned. But that's on their F150 line, and a SVT model at that. The SVT line has always had huge banners and stripes and shit for the look at me factor, which I hate. I actually took all the emblems off my car, they're not paying me to advertise for them.

Then you guys must also hate the '73 to '87 chevy trucks also. They've had square fenderwells for a while.

For that matter, you must also hate Jeeps, they also have square fenders.

Yes and yes. My first vehicle was a ‘78 Chevy Sport with a 3 speed. Drivetrain=tiddies. Body=bag o’ buttholes.

:lmao:

Guy I use to work with had a '78 GMC that he bought new, and kept it waaaaay beyond it's useful life. Being in the Midwest salt belt, we got him a bumper sticker that read "Rust Test in Progress".

I wasn't a big fan of the boxy Chevy's of that era actually. But, Jeeps have always had square fenders on the front, so changing the rear wasn't as drastic as modern trucks in my opinion. And, Fiat be damned, I dig the new Wrangler too, but I always have. It's still the most off road capable new rig that is attainable by the masses.

I don't mind the squared off wheel wells at all. I like square, boxy designs. That's why I love the square body trucks so much, and why I'm such a big fan of thirdgen Camaros.

I think the 87 4-eyed square body truck is the best truck ever made, and the 2014-15 Silverados are a distant second, much for the same reason.

This new 2500 is awful.
