For years my girl has been supportive of my hobby and stood by my side while I spent a lot of my time building custom rigs for myself and others, playing with toy cars, and hanging out with toy car people. I've been trying to talk her into a rig of her own for the better part of all those years but could never get her past the idea that it's just a "guys thing". And there really weren't a lot of rigs that caught her attention...until the Element came along.

It conveniently fills all her needs (truck, an abundant aftermarket, no real "need" to upgrade) and the price was right. So, she was off to AMain, all on her own, headed for a full shopping cart. A few days later this thing showed up. And it didn't take long before the first grins turned into a list of upgrades she wanted to make it her own...

The Rig:

-Element Enduro RTR

Upgrades:

-Element Factory Team 6mm Steel Hexes

-Element Factory Team Chrome Pivot Balls

-Element Factory Team Chrome Shock Bushings

-Gear Head RC 1.9 BTR Wheels (Silver/Black Rings)

-Vanquish VS4-10 Pro Bumpers

-SSD Aluminum Shock Towers w/Integrated Panhard Mount (Silver)

-SSD Brass Knuckles

-SSD Brass Rear Weights

-SSD Pro C-Hubs (Black)

-SSD Link Mounts (Black)

-SSD Diff Covers (Silver)

Electronics Upgrades:

-Futaba 4PX

Custom Stuff:

-Anodizing by Batemans Custom Coatings

This is kind of a place holder/parts list for a lot of parts that haven't shown up yet. So please, be patient. Pics and details will be added as we go. "thumbsup"

First things first...while we wait for other things...the fenders got a trim job and the body itself got a little scissor work to clear the VS4-10 rear bumper. Still debating on ordering another rear bumper bracket to drop the front bumper under the body or not. Her wheels also showed up. And these are beautiful. Going to look really good in pink anodizing.

i respect any man that treats her lady right, and keeps a floor jack inside the house.

off to a nice start! these rigs really are great to just get out there and not need much in upgrades if you just want to go crawl some rocks.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] It was a gift that hadn't yet made it to the garage. But I've been waiting for somebody to say something.

Alright, alright, alright...Easter is over with, kiddo is passed out, and my desk is a cleared off long enough to get something done again. Too bad Shelly is headed to bed here in a few because she has to work early. Happy she trusts me wrenchin on her rig though. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Probably the best simple mod we've done to this truck yet...pulled the headlights apart, peeled the stickers meant to replicate fluted glass lenses off, and used a Molotow liquid chrome pen with a 4mm tip to chrome the buckets. Even the stock 5mm LEDs put out quite a bit more light now. And they even have decent optics...nice scale beam pattern in front of the truck.

Next up...drilling the stock headlight buckets out to accept the 10mm LEDs in the leftover Powershift RC VS4-10 OEM light kit and their 2 position 12V booster/switch from my build.

And yes, we played with the caster by rolling the c-hubs back one spline...steering linkage gets tight behind the axle and the tires want to eat the front edges of the fender with articulation. It's already been returned to stock and the upper link has been shortened roughly 1.5mm instead. Probably sitting at 5* of caster at ride height now. Not as much as I'd like, but this isn't a comp crawler.
