f-350 scx10ii build (picture heavy)

About about designing on the computer and have shapeways print it in metal!

Hopefully the 1.9 tires work better or we both will need new tires

I'll look into shapeways. Didn't know you can print metal. Lol.

I have yet to order the 1.9s. funds are a low right now lol.

If you create an account on shapeways you can import 3d models. Shapeways will then scan it and let you know what changes will need to be made.

You can 3d print stuff in a lot of different materials ranging from chocolate to certain metals

I have no experience with 3d designing or anything like that. Lol. But I really do want to learn it and get a 3d printer

Received a second tailgate set In the mail today. Widened the tailgate way more than needed, since I'm in the process of building a new/better bed. Just got to body work it now

Received my loops RC arb front bumper today. Pretty pleased with how it looks. Might end up cutting the middle out for a winch.

I was checkin out the pics, awesome truck i must say, n i noticed somethin a lil strange lol. Is that a screwdriver in place of the shifter? Ive got a piston on the shift for the t-case in my f150, but never seen anybody use a screwdriver lol

Some very slow work on the new bed. Making some filler pieces. Using e6000 to bond them together. Have to wait til it completely dries to shave it down to fit the box. Gonna try to make the tailgate functional. Not sure yet. also not sure how I'm gonna cut/make the wheel well tubs on the box.

Trying to get some work done on the f350. Taillights are shaved to fit. probably end up gluing them to the bed sides. And got to make some filler panels. And fine tune the tailgate fitment.. debating on making it functional. The loops RC arb rear bumper doesn't quite fit the body line that perfect. But no big deal...I don't know if I want to mount the bumper to the chassis or the bed...also got to make a panel for inside of the tailgate.. used some e6000 to bond the bed to the bed sides.

Thinking bout trying a set of RC4WD 1.9 fuel tires mud gripper since they are taller than the 1.7 version

So it's been a while since I have posted on the truck. Since I tore apart my trail honcho to make it rolling. I've decided to tear those parts off it and put the honcho back together (due to my son wants to drive it). And while it's apart, I'm gonna try to design some front radius arms and tear apart and paint the chassis. Will post pics of radius arm rough drafts

Tore the f350 back apart tonight cuz I miss driving the honcho (swapped all internals from axles and trans) gonna get to drive the honcho again soon. And also decided to go through the f350 and make some changes.. ordered a installed another pair of 3d printed leaf spring mounts from gcm on shapeways. Started drafting some radius arms for the front. That's .080 lexan. Probably gonna try to get them 3d printed or idk. Using RC4WD leaf spring shackle parts to mount rear portion. Also don't quite know how I'm gonna make them pivot(articulating the axle) possibly a ball on the rear end of it? .

Lookin good! Definantly different. Thats kinda like the stock setup on my 84 f150 lol

If you get it 3d printed you could make the arms shorter and use rod ends. That way the axles would still be able to pivot

I was thinking a rod end on the rear portion of it.

That should work really good. If you get it 3d printed you can also add a small hole for s set screw as well
