Doved Hilux for Tim.

nice truck...
what kind of glue did you use to hold the front dove tail on the hood?

Thanks, Great Planes CA Glue, with Styrene pieces to back it, normally use Plastruct- Plastic weld, but i didnt have any left and CA works just as good.

after you cut out your wedge's how did you move the fender's over? it's tough to move fenders over to line up to the hood, there's a lot of resistance.did you make any little relief cuts on the inside of the fenders to move them over. how did you do handle that part? Thanks.

one side i had to trim a little bit on the back, but i heated up the seam enough to soften the plastic. It took a lil bit to get but you can work it with some time.

what did you use for heat? a regular blow dryer or something stronger

I used a Blow Dryer, and cut some relief in the back and then Slowly started to bend it over using even force so that it bent the same angle across the whole seem.

Just wanted to say that Slackerman has been very helpful in helpIng me out through PM's on walking me through making the proper cuts. I'll post a few closer Picts he sent me if that is ok with him so you guys can see how far the cuts go on the front. It's a little deceptive on how far you really have to cut.

Super nice Yota! I'm trying to copy the body now"thumbsup"

I am way to lazy to resort and type out a new post so here is a Copy-and-paste i just posted on my ford thread. So yes theres a few more ford pics but ill toss some more yotas at the bottom.

--------------------------------------------------------

Went out today for the first time in a while to hang out and see what needs to be done before the comp this coming sat.

Headed down and meet up at Prison Hill in Carson City and drove the F#*% out of the rigs as the pics will show(my whole front bumper). Had a blast, but now its back to the work bench to add some Armor to the ford, and some more tubing to Tims Yota.

Heres some of the better Pics, will also post more yota pics on my other thread.

And thanks to the one of the best inventions ever, my day didn't end a hour and a half into the day when i tumbled, and tumbled, and then fell down the hill, i was able to put things back together.
